I wouldn't have left if I had a bigger budget. The luxurious hotel has a beautifully manicured landscape that attracts heaps of birds in the mornings and butterflies during the day. The only down side were mosquitoes, but everything else more than made up for that. Staff were great - friendly, polite, efficient, patient. The beautifully designed restaurant has a pretty impressive menu and staff are always willing to customise anyway. There's a pool and outdoor massage services are available. The inhouse travel agent is mighty well connected and means to help you get to where you want to go, but makes sure you have a good, safe, memorable experience on top of it all. Rooms are spacious and ground-level rooms get a 4 seater lounging area. There are private rooms at the back of the resort with a patio and deck chairs! There is also a backgate to the beach and about a 20 minute walk to Kuta Beach and a further 25min walk to Legian. The grounds are just beautiful and always beckoning a stroll. Unique Quality: Most outstanding would be how Rama Beach has preserved that Balinese charm it is world famous for. By using natural materials for roofing, not to mention nights are filled with tranquil Balinese music by a pair of friendly musicians on only traditional instruments, Rama Beach unlike other posh hotel/resorts in Bali makes living comfortable, but also, with lots of charm and character i.e. not the big, world-standard hotel/resorts built without character and warmth. It is lush and expansive but not obscenely mungo like most up and coming resorts in Bali. Rama Beach has it all fundamentally in place.

Just South of Kuta at Tuban
The rooms are large and clean. The staff were helpful and very friendly, always willing to chat. A very relaxed atmosphere.
The hotel is very close to the beach, but unfortunately this part of the beach isn't as scenic or as clean as further up the beach at Kuta or Legian.
Unique Quality: There are two accommodation choices - standard rooms in double storey low rise buildings or cottage bungalows in a garden setting. The rooms are air-conditioned and have a private terrace or balcony, bathtub and shower in bathroom, minibar and refrigerator, international direct dial telephone, satellite television with in-movie programs and tea/coffee making facilities.
The pool is the real feature of this resort. Very large with a swim up bar and plenty of sunbeds and free towels.
There are also a spa and restaurant, both reasonably priced for a hotel, plus billiards & table tennis, games & recreation room and tennis.
Opinion of Price: less expensive than average

A great hotel

Rama Beach was such a wonderful hotel. Our room was perfect, it had a small patio with two chairs, the grounds of the hotel were so serene and relaxing. The staff at Rama Beach were so nice, always greeted us by our names with a smile. Breakfast was also great, we looked forward to it every morning! A good hotel, it was the off season when we were there, i believe we paid $45 American per night, we initially booked online thru orbitz, and stayed two extra nights and we were given the same rate from the internet which was very nice of them. I would definately recommend this hotel! The pool was beautiful! There was a small massage area with two massage tables where we had a great massage.

We`ve decided to go back to Bali this time, there is a first timer coming with us as well as another couple. We want to experience more of the sites and surrounding islands before venturing off to another country. Now where to stay? Hard Rock was great but this time we might downgrade a bit, for the benefit of our travelling companion. We`ve been told of the White Rose and the Bounty as popular hotels, we wont in our rooms for alot of the time so as long as it has comfort and breakfast it`ll be fine, Any suggestions would be great..... ; ) thanks

I have never seen the White rose so i cant comment on that....but i have seen the bounty, it was nice, resonable sized pool and good resturant, exceot it seemed to always be busy!..... If u want somewhere quieter try the Rama beach resort sometimes called the Rama Beach Gardens, we stayed there in Jan 04 and lovede it.....there were only about 30 guests and the party i went made up 10 of them.....the pool is great, huge with plenty of deckbeds to go around....the breakfasts were also great, buffet style.....the pool bar is open whenever people are in the pool, we had a delux cottage and were very happy about the size!......the resturant was very well priced.....the hotel grounds were also very well kept....i highly reccommend this hotel....!

the bounty hotel is beautiful, and is basically just around the corner from the hard rock. beautiful restaurant, great cocktails! i would recommend this hotel. i think its best to book early, its very popular!!!
