Any one know if Canadian cigarettes are available to buy in Kuta? If so, where and how much? If no Canuck smokes how about US?

The US brands that are available on the streets like marlboro, lucky strike, etc are locally made that's why they are cheap. If you want to buy the imported ones, head to a major supermarket like Hero. They usually also stock brands that are hard to find on the streets.

I don't know about canadian cig's but marlboro's are anywhere from 75 cents US to $1.25, and EVERYONE smokes here!
One of the things you must do in Kuta is to experience the traditional Balinese dance and music. The costumes, dance movement and music usually depict legendary and religious stories and they will leave a lasting memory to the audience.
My favourite place to hang out sipping drink and waiting for sunset.
It's directly in front of the beach... and you can actually leave your belonging in your seat and go swimming in the beach. The waiters will keep an eye for your belonging. (I've actually done it as I came there by myself for the first time)
The place is always full at sun set tiem and you can't reserve for such timing. So it's best to come at 4 pm
even we're in budget trip, doesn't mean we leave something nice and relaxing. in my latest trip, rika and i join a spa programme with a very reasonable price for pampering ourselves. we take a package for 2 person about 2 hours for massagetraditional body treatment with aromatherapy, following with lulur and boreh [scrub] in balinese spices powders and milkbath and ending with aromatherapy bath in fresh flowers plus ginger tea break.
My overall experience in Kuta was good. Except for very pushy roadside vendors, Kuta was a very relaxing experience after all. I went during the dry season. It was very warm. I am now suffering from sunburns!
