Modest budget in resort central: Swiss-Bel Hotel Bay View

The Swiss-Bel Hotel is on the peninsula of Nusa Dua, which is where all the large 4- & 5-star resorts are located. The Swiss-Bel is a nice hotel, but is much cheaper than the other beach resorts in Nusa Dua.

The hotel is located on the top of the small hill, just a few minutes taxi from the beach. That $2 taxi ride will save you ~$150/night in lodging.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful to me with the basic questions that I had. Rooms are available for about 10% savings if booked over the internet.

There is an infinity pool on the rooftop terrace on the 6th-floor.
Breakfast (included in room rate) is served on the roof-top, with a nice view of the island, the volcano and the water.

There is a pool, a modest business center and a gym.

Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa: A Balinese palace

Once a governement hotel (partly owned by Garuda Indonesia), now a member of the Leading Hotels of the World,Nusa Dua Beach Hotel and Spa offers 381 guestrooms and suites, rich of traditional artifacts, textiles and carved wooden furnishings. Each room views into the grand tropical gardens or to the Indian Ocean.Positioned in a 9 hectars tropical park the hotel resembles more a Balinese palace with its winding pathways and traditional and religious artefacts.Several pools, 5 restaurants, 4 bars and a 150 meters sandy beach are offered to the guests.

Parklike setting in a wonderful tropical garden; several outdoor facilities, like a cultural theater and by the pool buffets make the stay more than comfortable. The rooms are 34 (superior) to 45 square meters in size.Food excellent , nice and helpful staff. Some pools and especially pool-bars could profit of a slight refurbishment. Palace Club rooms (46sqm) include breakfast and cocktails at happy hour at an acceptable price!

Kayumanis: Honeymooning at Kayumanis

This honeymoon retreat is
tucked away in the luxury
and comfort of Nusa Dua.

Created with the Japanese market in mind,
it could accommodate any newlywed.

The grounds are designed in a minimalist style,
with pathways leading to each private villa.

The honeymooner’s villa,
is placed amongst the trees and vegetation,
crafted with accompanying ponds, pools and Jacuzzis,
wooden paths leading to different areas of the villa,
surrounding glass walls covered with white flowing curtains,
this villa definitely breaths the elements.

A round white bed, welcomes the newlyweds.
Transparency follows the flow of space
leading from one area to another.

The pool to the Jacuzzi,
the Jacuzzi to the white bathtub,
the bathtub to the white bed,
and lets start all over again.

Truly a honeymooner’s delight!
Like white chocolate!

kayumanis: villa style hotel in nusa dua

if you come to bali, why don't you try to stay in a villa instead of the typical boring hotel.
kayumanis means cinnamon in indonesian, the hotel is new and all of their rooms are villa syle.
if you look for balinese style, this one doesn't really give what you want. it's more modern with swimming pool in each villa.
when you come, you first see a glass kind of building surrounded by a pond. to get there you need to walk through a steep tunnel to go upstairs, so you enter the into the building from upstairs! the building is a restaurant and part of it is used as exhibition hall.

the hotel is not beach front but it's walking distant from the beach

interesting and unique building.

Melia Bali Resort: The fanciest hotels in Nusa Dua

This is one of the better hotels at Nusadua, the service is far to god and the staff to friendly, they have a system that rates all the employees so they can get a pin to place at their uniforms that tell everyone that they are among the best, this means that they lick everyones ass as soon it is possible and you are supposed to rate them when you leave on the form provided when you check in, hmm - after a few days you get quite tired of all the staff ( about 1000 persons) smiling and asking you "how are you today sir? - can I help you with something today? - where are you going today?" - etc.........
You can find a few restaurants inside the hotel one of them named Lotus:)))) , very high quality ofcorse and terrible expensive - 115000 Rupiah for a Pizza - 12$.

The hotel is built with a beautiful garden and a wonderful pool and it is only 50 m to the beach, you can have a drink at a island in the middle of the pool, one of the restaurants is located directly in front of the beach and they also serve a cheaper brakfast (60000 Rupiah 6.11$) - breakfast is normally charged for 22$ for 1 person!!!!!!

Bali Hilton: Are we in Bali or in the US - Bali Hilton Nusa Dua

While walking in front of the sea
around the various resort properties
in Nusa Dua,
we were attracted by the
59,000 Rp & 75,000 Rp
lunch menus at the Hilton.

The lunch menu included
a choice of salads,
meats or seafood and dessert.

After our delicious meal,
we decided to visit the gardens
that are meant
to resemble a water palace.

This is a large property
with a selection of Deluxe Rooms
to the larger suites.

For families wishing to sojourn at the Hilton,
there are rooms that are inter-connecting.

Upon visiting the Deluxe room,
I felt that I was seeing any other room
that one might see in the US,
lacking a uniqueness
' in this island of God's?'

After extensively visiting the Bali Melia
within this same resort area of Nusa Dua,
I was disappointed with the rooms.
Especially considering
the great package deals
that one can find with airfare
and hotel stay at Melia Bali.

Prices range from:

$165 - $1,400
