More about Hotel Sanur Beach

Sanur Accommodation

by pinkduck about Sanur Beach Hotel

We stayed at the Sanur Beach hotel for 8 night in May 2009. My first interaction was with the staff at reception and I was worried as they were a very dour and unhappy group of people (we arrived at midday and there were a number of people behind the reception desk and none of them were smiling)
Fortunately they were the exception not the rule.

The rooms were great - - clean and tidy, with housekeeping coming as soon as you indicated the rooms were available for them in the mornings and then again at night to turn down the beds, Breakfast was included and was plentiful and with a large selection. The housekeeping staff, the kitchen staff the waiters, and the gardeners (and there were a lot of them) were all very friendly and happy. They would talk to you as you passed and were always smiling.
The egg cook remembered from day to day how you lked your eggs cooked and could tell you what you had yesterday and suggest something else - - always smiling and happy.

The cost for this room was reasonable and it was suggested by our (then) travel agent. (only she did right for this trip!!!! Two swimming pools with one swim up bar.
Right on the beach with sun lounges and waiters ready to assist you at any time.
You cal select either garden views or pool vies rooms on checkin.

fleur de lotus Sanur beach hotel

by helios13 about divine garden

2003 We have lived during 2 weeks in a dreamworld. So a gorgeous environment.
In the garden could we seen different kind of palm trees, bush and tropical flowers wich were treated like a pearle and so lovely decorated .Our room was also treated, and TOP!!!
2 swimming pools where a spring through the mouth of a divine ( a very big cute frog ) ended in the pool.
the reception and services were very good ; people do something for you always with a smile
and with delicacy. We travelled a lot to ubud, where sculpturs and other artists showed his works.
I advise keenly to travel, if opportunity ,to Bali de island of lotus. Majestic with gold decorated temples. Gardens with lotus flowers and other tropical variety.
People built houses in a shape of a temple hid behind a wall and if you have a little look through a split in a wall of a door you can perceive a pearle of a garden , where they offered all kinds of things to Bhudda. When you 're walking in the street along the shops , every merchant depose some mini meals and flowers in front of the shop a gift for to have a good deal.

Near Sanur beach

by Ramonq about Grand Paradise Hotel

This is near Sanur Beach. It's your typical resort hotel with a large swimming pool in the inner courtyard. Many packaged tourist stay here. It's away from the crowded haunts of Kuta, so the area is not chock-a-block full of tourists. Lovely pool and pleasant room.

Walking in the undeep sea or snorkeling ?

by cadzand

This was my very first starfish ! And I could touch it.... really soft.
As the Sanur Beach Hotel is situated in front of a lagoon, it's easy walking during several hundreds of meters in very undeep water and have a look at the flora and fauna.

by meiyergani about JAMBU INN

Griya Santrian Hotel

by Fen about Griya Santrian Hotel

Centrally located on Sanur beach, this resort features 94 rooms in landscape tropical gardens. It is an easy walk to restaurants and shops along the main street of Sanur. Witness stunning sunrises and enjoy the view of the offshore islands.

Another Cheap Place @ Sanur Beach

by arikde about Ananda Hotel

Rooms of Ananda hotel are decently sized and the interiors are well decorated. The price is very cheap (around Rupiah 70,000 for a double). Its at the end of the road on Sanur port past the big Hyatt (?) and close to the actual port makes it very convinient for morning commute. There are many restaurants overlooking the sea just outside the hotel. Beware of the bathrooms - they are not that clean ... so look before renting.

Sanur Bali

by TonyBalloqui about Puri Santrian

A perfect location direct on Sanur Beach, though a 3star it is even better than a 4star
Staff= efficient and very friendly
Rooms= top quality
Grounds= breathtaking tropical garden
Club rooms very high standard with club pool Restaurants very good espicially the Mezzanine, 3 pools right on the beach

Right on Sanur Beach

by Wann about Puri Santrian

Nice place in Sanur area. Plenty of restaurants at street near the entrance of the resort, very lively day and night. There're 2 swimming pool and the pool bar. The restaurant in the resort is very nice, great food and good view of the sea. The room is rather small, and small balcony but the service is great, friendly staffs.

The modern stay in Sanur

by Wann about Segara Village

There's some type of accommodation and we stayed at Segara Club which is very nice and modern style living. The staffs're very nice. Very wide area of the place and quite relaxing with the green area, a few swimming pools, they are all nice. You can relax by the poolside or front beach. Although there's a restaurant in the resort but there's also many other restaurants nearby provide a seaview. There's walkway by sidebeach where you can walk from end to end of long Sanur Beach.

Is Sanur Beach Hotel safe and recommendable

by johnnie79

Dear all,

kindly adv if Sanur Beach hotel and its surrounding area is safe and if you would recommend it?
is it too remote? I do prefer a quite beach but if it is too quite i would rethink my decision.

Any idea how much a taxi would cost from the airport to this hotel?
Taxi is counted by meter?

Many thanks for your response

Warm Regards

Sanur Beach Hotel is a good hotel, the beach is quieter than say Kuta or Tuban, it is even quieter than some parts of Sanur itself.

As to how safe it is, that is difficult to define,do you mean safe from Earthquakes, Tsunami, Terrorists, Crimminals, or what ? it is as safe as any other place can be,(maybe more safe than Poppies II in Kuta from crimminal element) the entrance gate from the road to the hotel is very secure with security guards on duty 24 hours, and the long drive to the hotel lobby. Sanur is a reasonably safe place in general, as is most of Bali.

Sanur Beach is a little bit remote, but it is still ok to get into Sanus and enjoy the night life there, be it less rockin and rollin than in Kuta or Legian.

Airportto Sanur Beach by taxi would have to be by airport taxi which is more expensive than the metered taxi's around 130,000rp.This is a fixed price, not metered and not negotiable. But Sanur Beach hotel operate a pick up service in one of their vehicles, you should ask about this with the hotel if you decide to stay there.

Taxi's from off the street can be metered or not, it's up to you, if they have a meter, ask them to put it on, if they don't make sure you agree the price before you get in. (if you don't know what the price should be, wait for a metered taxi), Bluebird taxis are considered to be the best most honest and reliable, (but there are always exceptions to the rule.)

There are other Hotels as good if not better than Sanur Beach, closer to the action so to speak, you should check out a few more.

Sanur Beach Hotel is excellent. The breakfast is great, the pool is huge, you are right on the beach. They also have a bar right next to the beach, happy hour and the chairs around the bar are swings. There also is music there at night. The SPA is excellent, in fact when we stayed at other hotels in the area we used the SPA at Sanur Beach Hotel. There is also a work out room. You are close to other restaurants on the beach. In town there are also a couple of good restaurants right near the SBH, Mezzanine Restaurant is excellent, Cat and the Fiddle is also good. Walk out the entrance of the hotel, turn right and keep walking and you will find all kinds of shops, restaurants, etc. John

sanur beach

by ellibob

can anyone tell me we are staying at the hyatt is it possible to swim in the sea and is there any snorkling.
regards ellibobs

Re: sanur beach

by sybille

why are you asking? You are staying at the beach, so if you can swim, you can go for a swim. If you want to snorkle, there isn't much to see unless you go by boat, plenty of day trips available.

Re: sanur beach

by BesarRahasia

Swimming in the sea in Sanur is probably the safest in Bali (one or two other places but too far away), so no worries. As Sybille says however the snorkelling there isn't up to anything, the water is shallow and not much to see.

is it nice? busy? quiet? what is the sea like? any info gladly received.

Re: Sanur Beach

by batgirl1001

sanur beach is so-so. wasn't very good but generally the area is quieter than kuta and thus good for those wanting some more quiet and privacy.

several top notch hotels there and some good restaurants but that's about it.

and it is also a little far off from the main attractions. about 8-10 mins to kuta depending on traffic. prices are a little more expensive especially if you want to change money or rent a jeep.
