Rambutan Boutique Hotel & Villas: Luxury in Lovina

This hotel was much more than we ever expected it to be. The photos on the website did not do it justice. It was 19 years since we had last been in Lovina and that was when this hotel had just started being built. The hotel is laid out over a large area. At the front is reception a smallish pool , children's playground and more budget accommodation. The family that owns the property also lives here. In the rear of the Rambutan Hotel is the deluxe rooms and the remarkable Villas. There are three villas in all. A one bedroom, a two bedroom & finally the Raja Villa, that we stayed in, with 2 storey's , two bedrooms , ( with four poster beds ),lounge ,dining, two bathrooms ( one outside one) villas to die for.................say no more.

Unique Quality: We loved how friendly & attentive the staff were to us & our two children. They went out of their way to make our stay really relaxing. Each Villa has t.v. & d.v.d what luxury in the remote north of Bali. We were given two large jugs of water each day which was also a bonus. The room included the best breakfast in Bali too. The pool was a lovely refreshing oasis on the ht days we were there. The air conditioning was fantastic too.

Damai Lovina Villas! Bali: Luxury unmached

Upon arrival we were greeted with the comment "Welcome to Heaven". We could have said it better ouselves
The attention to details were amazing
The food first class
We will return

Unique Quality: The activities in the local area and resort are very well planned and off the Tourist track
We were particularly overwhelmed with the Royal Palace Tour & the Ambangan Waterfalls

There is a very nice pool from where you are able to see the ocean.

Bali Taman Beach Resort: Bedroom

This is what the inside of our suite looked like. There was a very large bedroom with a 4 poster bed, a couple of chairs, TV, and a small refrigerator. There was an adjoining door to another bedroom if you had a family and needed two bedrooms.

Bali Taman Beach Resort: On the beach

Bali Taman Beach Resort faces the main highway but extends back to the beach.
It is a very nice resort with a nice pool, leafy garden, stone artwork, and several fish ponds.
We opted for the beachview suite since the price was very good.
There we had a very nice bedroom, a dressing room, and a large open air bathroom. The front porch was a hit with its nice view out to the ocean and the bushes that were full of birds to entertain us.

Unique Quality: The management was very friendly and the manager even took us for a tour of the grounds. He said that the hotel usually had several tour groups that stayed there but after the bombing it was quite slow.
We felt sorry for the economy in Bali at that time but really enjoyed having the place almost to ourselves.
