Bali Taman Beach Resort: On the beach
Bali Taman Beach Resort faces the main highway but extends back to the beach.
It is a very nice resort with a nice pool, leafy garden, stone artwork, and several fish ponds.
We opted for the beachview suite since the price was very good.
There we had a very nice bedroom, a dressing room, and a large open air bathroom. The front porch was a hit with its nice view out to the ocean and the bushes that were full of birds to entertain us.
The management was very friendly and the manager even took us for a tour of the grounds. He said that the hotel usually had several tour groups that stayed there but after the bombing it was quite slow.
We felt sorry for the economy in Bali at that time but really enjoyed having the place almost to ourselves.

Bali Taman Beach Resort: Bedroom
This is what the inside of our suite looked like. There was a very large bedroom with a 4 poster bed, a couple of chairs, TV, and a small refrigerator. There was an adjoining door to another bedroom if you had a family and needed two bedrooms.

Rambutan Boutique Hotel & Villas: Luxury in Lovina
This hotel was much more than we ever expected it to be. The photos on the website did not do it justice. It was 19 years since we had last been in Lovina and that was when this hotel had just started being built. The hotel is laid out over a large area. At the front is reception a smallish pool , children's playground and more budget accommodation. The family that owns the property also lives here. In the rear of the Rambutan Hotel is the deluxe rooms and the remarkable Villas. There are three villas in all. A one bedroom, a two bedroom & finally the Raja Villa, that we stayed in, with 2 storey's , two bedrooms , ( with four poster beds ),lounge ,dining, two bathrooms ( one outside one) villas to die for.................say no more.
We loved how friendly & attentive the staff were to us & our two children. They went out of their way to make our stay really relaxing. Each Villa has t.v. & d.v.d what luxury in the remote north of Bali. We were given two large jugs of water each day which was also a bonus. The room included the best breakfast in Bali too. The pool was a lovely refreshing oasis on the ht days we were there. The air conditioning was fantastic too.

Melka Excelsior: Melka Excelsior
The room actually quite clean, staff are friendly and we paid for about 300,000/night for deluxe room with TV, AC and Hot/Cold shower.
We chose melka after browsing through internet. As we got here, it wasnt like we expected. Everything seemed too expensive from what we've got. Either the accomodation or restaurant.

Damai Lovina Villas! Bali: Luxury unmached
Upon arrival we were greeted with the comment "Welcome to Heaven". We could have said it better ouselves
The attention to details were amazing
The food first class
We will return
The activities in the local area and resort are very well planned and off the Tourist track
We were particularly overwhelmed with the Royal Palace Tour & the Ambangan Waterfalls

MANIK SARI HOTEL (BUDGET HOTEL): GOOD VALUE ACCOMODATION IN LOVINA
This budget hotel was perfect for me, a huge clean room for myself with shower and bath ..large double bed, clean Linen and air conditioning all for under twenty dollars /night.This Hotel maybe a buget Hotel but has absolutely beautiful well manicured gardens with Hindu statues and lovely colourful tropical plants evrywhere..
Located three minutes from the beach the staff here make your stay a welcomed one and obviously all the hotels here are wanting your custom...there is a lot of competition for your dollar..The breakfast is banana pancakes with honey and excellent Balinese coffee...more if you want it..Staff here will organise any local activity that you need also Bemo and Motor Bike hire..in the high season prices rise about 25%..still inexpensive..like most places in South East Asia...prices usually depend on your bargaining skills..and your length of stay.. the longer you stay the cheaper it is...
