BELITUNG, BUKIT BERAHU RESORT
Bukit Berahu is one of the highest point in the west side of the island. There is a resort located on the tip of the hill which gives a very nice view towards the beach of Tanjung Binga and its fisherman village.
Unique Quality: Climb down a quite steep stairs to reach the beach section, where they have several cottages around.

After browsing around the cities finally my friends and I decided to stay in this small hotel. It provides basic accomodation with air cond and hot shower. Breakfast is also served, but you need to inform the room service to deliver it later in the morning. Otherwise, they'll come and knock your door right at 6am. :p
Unique Quality: It's next to the beach... hmm i forgot the beach name. but it's nice enough to hang around in the late afternoon and watch the sunset. It's also near some cafes, give us some alternative to relax at night.

lor-in Tanjung Pandan: Concrete Jungle next to a motorway belitung
We were recomended the Lor In as the best hotel in Belitung (http://www.lor-in.com/) however be warned this place is a real dive! To start with its expensive, around 800Rp for a beack front suite, well thats what they call it, more like living in a road side service station on a motorway of mopeds. The hotel is already in bad repair despite looking not finished, dont be fooled by the website the Lor In is basically a mish mash of badly positioned concrete bunkers which are cracked and leaking. The building quality is disgusting as is the food at the hotel. The rooms are dirty and the facilities all broken, the pool was out of action, the restaurant looked closed and the AC was leaking in our room. The location of the hotel also sucks, when in belitung you want to hit up the islands, the beach near the hotel is not iimpressive and the water a bit murky, the hotel is about a 50 minute drive from town and very remote so you would better off staying in a resort in kota or near the fishing port where you can get boats to the island. The Lor In is also built next to a main road so all day and night you will hear traffic and motor bikes. My advice is to stay out of this hotel it is *** and too far away from anything, the one reedeming feature is the staff are nice, but most people in belitung are when you come from jakarta!
As for the island itself, it is amazing, just get stait out to the island and font bother with the mainland, that said their is some excellent Mie Babi and Ayam Goreng to be had in Kota and brilliant seefood, there is also a good Koppi Susu place in the centre of town down a back street, thats to die for! Hope this helps someone planning to go to Banka Belitung, or Tanjung Pandan

tanjung binga resort: to the direction of lengkuas island
another seaside bungalows. as nice as tanjung kelayang bungalows.
Unique Quality: our opinion, this is the 'executive' or 'expensive' version from our tanjung kelayang bungalows. the wooden cabins with direction to pulau [island] lengkuas and its lighthouse. but need effort to go up [since the location is down the valley of tanjung binga], whenever you want to have meals.

lor-in seaside resort: the best in belitung
the best, the most expensive and the only resort at belitung.
Unique Quality: there are 2 types of bungalows. to direction to the garden and to the seaside. but an asphalt road is situated in front of the bungalows. so you have to cross the road whenever going to the sea.
