Hotel Martani: A cozy old hotel
The Martani hotel is old but comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As in most hotels outside Jakarta, please check your room before deciding to take it. Check the toilet to see if it flushes and check the hot shower to see if it actually works. This hotel has many classes of rooms so choose carefully.
The Martani Hotel is close to the town centre and especially to the Pasar (market). We had the good fortune to meet the manager Widodo, who was kind enough to lead us on a tour around the island.
