GG House Happy Valley: Your Home in Bogor

The airport pick-up that comes with the package at GG House is very convenient. The House is located on top of a hill with a nice view of the surrounding in their balcony.

We booked their package, 3 days-2 nights with breakfast and 1-way transfer along with a day tour around the area. Cost is $55 per person X 2 of us, so $110.

Service is good. It's a guesthouse, home-y feeling, large verandah and friendly staff.

As hotels around Bogor gets wallet-busting, this place comes as a good choice for budget traveller.

Firman Guest House: Home Comfort

Very Close to the City Center and only few minutes ride of Becak (Tricycle) from Bogor Train Station. Large rooms with attached bath/toilet and TV, some rooms have aircon, (Additional cost) The view from the terrace is breath taking, the mount gede is right in front if you take room number 20 or 22

Unique Quality: The Price is un matched, IDR 80,000 ($10) for smaller room (2 person) and 110,000 ($15) for the larger one. They also serve simple food at very good price. A nice comfortable place for over night or short stay.

Pangrango Hotel: Cheap place to stay in Bogor

If you need a relatively cheap place to stay in Bogor, try Pangrango Hotel 1 & 2.
Last visit - April 2006

Unique Quality: Bars and excellent restaurants are just a stone away from the hotel.

Guest House Happy Valley: Happy Valley

Guest house Happy Valley - we spent one night here. Very authentic hotel with a tropical touch located in an isolated spot outside the town of Bogor. Nice outdoor dining area, interesting works of art in all corridors. Recommended.

Hotel Mirah: I'm not a backpacker...

Somebody told us this was a nice hotel.
The hotel men in Bandung came from Bogor ,
he asked where we were going to to explain our
driver. We told him and he said it was a lousy
hotel. He said take that one...but our book said
'that one' was quit noisy. We wanted it to be
quit , clean and on a good location.

He's face cleared up...Hotel Mirah.

Unique Quality:
A spacious breakfast room with a typical
indonesian hotel breakfast. (3 warm rice
dishes and kroepoek -shrimp crisps-,
soup...and fresh fruit).
There is a little swimming pool and
the location is not far from the road with
public transport , but far enough so you
can't hear it. (and near pia apple pie)

Our bedroom was spacious , clean with a nice
bathroom and a terrace to sit outside.
It was great sitting there during the intense
short but heavy rain.

Hotel Firman: Good backpackers hotel

There were rooms of 40.000, 50.000 and 60.000 Rps.
The rooms were located on different floors and all had a private bathroom and a fan.
Unfortunately no sheets.
There's free tea all day long.
You can have breakfast on your own terrace with a lovely view on the city.
