Hotel Notosari Permai: Our second choice

As Hotel Kenari Asri was full, we stayed at our second choice: Notosari Permai. It is somewhat farther form the town square, but still at walking distance.
We would not give it the two stars the Kudus regency website gives it; rather one little star because it has a swimming pool. But it is worth its money, the rates go from Rp 100,000 for an economy room to Rp 300,000 for a family room (June 2009). We were comfortable in a standard room for Rp 200,000. The rates include a simple breakfast, taxes and service.

Hotel Kenari Asri: Our preferred hotel

This was our preferred hotel in Kudus, but it was fully booked and as we had no reservation we went to our second choice.
Hotel Kenari Asri is new and clean with full amenities, in our opinion deserves its two stars. It is located on short walking distamce to the town square and "Garuda" restaurant. The only drawback: no swimming pool.

Room rates (June 2009): from Rp 250,000 nett for a standard room to Rp 450,000 nett for a VIP room. These rates include buffet breakfast but exlude 21% tax and service.
