Ideal in Magelang
We did not stay here, but were invited to have lunch here by friends. The resort is an 'elder sister' of Laras Asri in Salatiga, both have the same owner. Although older, Puri Asri has more spacious grounds than Laras Asri. It is located on the banks of Progo river overlooking sawah fields toward Sumbing volcano.
Perfect for a couple of relaxing days in Magelang and as a base for 'doing' Borobudur, Dieng, Gedong Songo, and more.
Rooms: There is a range of rooms, cottages and villas.
Rates: No need to pay the so-called 'publish rate'. A typical internet rate for an executive double is: USD 56 incl. tax, service and breakfast. Book the same room through Asiarooms for Rp 460,000 (April 2010).
Unique Quality: Magnificent views over Progo river.
Complete facilities and pool.
At 15 minutes drive from Borobudur.
