price one way from jakarta is about RP400,000. you can buy by bookig and paying thru the local ATM with a code provided or thru the agents. international traveller can 1. book lion air ricket online, and ask your friend to pay thru ATM pretty quickly, 2. buy from Garuda using the economy promo rates from your just any of your agents.
do not buy at the airport from the resellers as teh name of the ticket belong to someone else. and you have to py with mark-ups. buying from ticket office on the day of travel will be silly as the chance of getting is about 30%. so you may have wasted your trip to the airport.
traveling from abroad to solo : get the airasia ticket. the flights are from Kuala Lumpur , Malaysia. book and pruchase your tickets thru the budget airline www.airasia.com.my . you can buy one way , and amongst the cheapest in the region.
Finding Gems in Triwindu Antique Market

Not everything found in a flea market is crap. If you're patient enough to sort through the junk in Pasar Triwindu, Solo ( Central Java), you'll find a couple of gems. This piggy-shaped silver incense holder is a case in point. I found it amusing since the incense smoke will emerge from its mouth and it can be hung from its tail.

Definition of Pisang Goreng: Banana coated with a rice flour batter and fried to a golden crisp. Available in most south east asian countries. But the ones in Central Java came with a twist, it is eaten with shredded cheese! An old colonial habit perhaps? Novotel Solo win big points for its visual presentation for the pisang goreng. It looks damm good doesn't it? Esp when it's topped with choc wafer biscuits, ice cream and a cherry. Oh yes, the banana tasted heavenly.

If you love culinary travelling and you have an opportunity to try ones, there is one thing you should know, one portion of sate buntel is not consist of 10 sticks of satay as usual. The size of sate buntel is big, one portion of its usualy enaugh for two persons to eat. But if you are not sure about it, we suggest you to ensure the size of this satay before you order, it will ensure you not to get more or less then what you should get.
operating hours: 12.00 - 21.30 Sate Buntel is Solo unique lamb satays. It is definetely different from any other lamb satay, its definetely one of a kind. Sate Buntel made of a chopped lamb, seasoning with onion and pepper, and then wrapped with lamb fat. As we know, lamb satay itself is delicious, moreover when the lamb is chopped and then wrapped with lamb fat before its grilled directly on a charcoal fire and served with soy ketchup sauce, sliced chilli, red onion, tomato, sliced cabbage and pickle cucumber. It's great and delivious, it will make your tongue tingling all over your mouth.

There's a whole collection of lovely masks in the Kraton museum but we couldn't see them all because they are in the not visitable area of the Kraton.
Prince IX still lives there (he was eating when we were there) and these are his private areas
