Tambi tea plantation: Wonosobo
Tambi Tea Plantation is located about 15 km from Wonosobo, Central Java. 1.360m from sea level. You can't miss it on your way up to Dieng Plateau.Price range $22.5-100. For the price of $22.5 strictly for stay of 2 persons. Prices included breakfast and tour of the plantation and factory, whick located next door from the hotel. Dinner can be ordered in advance in front office. Food are okay. Surrounded by mountains and the highland. At night we can see the sparkling lights from the town below. We were there during the raining season. The air at nite is cooling, about 15-17 Celcius. Room facilities are hot and cold shower. When we were there our hot water was problem, the staffs were helpful and doing there best to make it work. well they did it. It is a good deal with the rate and the tour, breakfast. For dinner (as there are no nearby restaurants) we have to pay another extra about $2.5 per person.
I recommended this hotel for a short break from the hectic of daily routine. A simple hotel with good view and atmosphere.

Kledung Pass Hotel & Restaurant
Price is excellent, but has no facilities, other than free breakfast, (Fried Rice/Rawon Rice or Soto with rice). Room is big with view of Sindoro mountain/Sumbing mountain. The bed has humid odors, which not so pleasant. When we stayed there, the water stopped running until the next morning. When we checked out, we were not able to take bath. Luckily we still brought some mineral water with us and used it for just enough to brush our teeth. So much for a $20 rate. Food was not as good as we expected, but they were rated as okay for us.
Unique Quality: There are no facilities for both adults and children. but the views of both mountain of Sindoro and Sumbing is extraordinary, only if they build the hotel in better way for the guests to enjoy the beauty of its surroundings.

DIENG KLEDUNG PASS HOTEL & RESTAURANT: Rest in between two mountains
Although it is a non-star hotel yet but I really enjoyed staying in this heavenly-located hotel. The Dieng Kledung Pass Hotel & Restaurant is located in Wonosobo Regency, the heart of Central Java and only 90 minutes away from the well-known Dieng Plateau. It rests in the pass between the twin mountains, the Sindoro and the Sumbing. Surrounded by tobacco plantation and other crops, the hotel becomes the jewel of the area.
Unique Quality: Through the private balcony of 16 Sindoro View rooms and 16 Sumbing View rooms, you can enjoy the great panoramic view of the twin mountain, the Sindoro and the Sumbing.

Hotel Dewi: Friendly hospitality
Nice place to stay, it's not at the downtown but close to the terminal or bus station of Wonosobo. And soon I became familiar with this place since many many of my fellows stay at the same place in the same time :)
Unique Quality: For a room with 2 beds or twin sharing, the bathroom is outside of the room. And a room with 4 beds [not dormitory but extra bed], the bathroom is inside. Bit funny in my opinion and my friend Eka :D What make it so different?!

Anywhere at Desa Anggrunggondok: Nice place to stay .... in a village
Well ... stay in a village before trekking or watching local festival is ... two thumbs up for me!!!
Unique Quality: Nice village with wall of the houses made from stone. Not from red bricks. Local said, the stones [batu alam or volcanic stones] keep the house warmer than anykind of buildings that made from the red bricks.
