Accommodation in Malang
I stayed in Splendid Inn on Oct 28, 2010. My room was a fan-cooled unit, without air-conditioning. It was well-designed, with traditional style furniture and paintings on the wall. The only downside was the room needed a little bit of maintenance.
Location was one of the biggest selling points of Splendid Inn. Balai Kota (City Hall) was just across the street; Bird Market was across the river; and alun-alun was within walking distance.
Pros: good rooms at affordable price; decent complimentary breakfast served from 6am; great location
Cons: rooms need maintenance
Unique Quality: There was swimming pool in the hotel.
