Hi Cath,
I am afraid you wont find it. However, you still can get the ticket on the spot since nowadays peoples in Indonesia choose train or airplane for long distance travel. Unless you go in peak season (Eid Fitr Fest in September 2010)

TIME to VISIT
Seasons:
Dry season is May - October
Rainy season is November - April.
Heavy rains usually fall around end of Nov to early March.
Temperature:
Coolest time of the year: June-August (temperature is around 24 degree celcius)
Hottest time of the year: October-November (temperature is around 35 degree celcius) My fav month: July - the weather is really nice around this month.
Swimming or Golfing at Taman Dayu
Located 50 km south of Surabaya in the upland country lies 597-hectare site of Taman Dayu complex, consist of residential area, Splash Water Park and a 18-hole golf course...overlooking a beautiful mountain.
You can also stay in one of the villa. Here's the pic of the backyard area: a swimming pool and fairways!
TAXI
They can easily be found in public places such as airport, railroad station, bus terminal, hotels, or malls.
The best taxi company in town is the Blue Bird group (Taxi Surabaya and Taxi Sentra). Generally speaking, their drivers are polite and trustworthy.
And, do not take Metro taxi.

Tio Ciu - on Jalan Bratang Binangun, near Hartani Supermarket (on shopping center near Ubaya Ngagel). it serves delicious food with budget price... * kwetiao cap cay (kway teow with mixed vegetables and thick soup) - only Rp 10.000,00 (less than US$1!!!) - delicious! i'm sure you will be satisfied of it :))
* mun tahu (tofu with pork and shrimp, in a thick soup) : only Rp 15.000,00 (for 2 persons)
