Hi Vts,
I will be reaching CemoroLawang from Jogja on 20th May.
Wish to find a transport agent who can handle our transport for the Bromo-Ijen-Batu-Surabaya.
Below is the itinerary:
21st May Bromo Sunrise, Savanna then depart to Kawah Ijen after lunch
22nd may Ijen tour then depart to Malang and Batu after lunch
23rd May Batu, Singosari and tour before depart to Surabaya (overnite Surabaya)
24th May Surabaya city till departs
Please kindly comments on the iti.
Btw, how is the road condition from Batu/Malang to Surabaya?
Any places for shopping in the above location?
Any tour contacts for recommendation?

You should not wait until Cemoro Lawang for arranging the rest of your trip.
Better to arrange everything in Yogya.
If you go to the backpacker area near Tugu station, you will find there several agents. I have no experience with them myself, but here is one who got a good reference from another VTer:
The agent in Yogya is ARI Tour & Travel, located in JI. Sosrowijayan NO 72. They work together with Mahkota Tour & Ijen Tour in Probolinggo.
But by all means feel free to shop around once you are in Yogya.

About your planning, it's better for your group & cheaper using train from Tugu station - Yogyakarta. By Sancaka Train (Executive & business class), leave tugu station at 07.00 am and arrive Surabaya station at 01.00 pm, very nice with beautiful landscape. Ticket is +/- IDR 100,000 (business), +/- IDR 150,000 (executive). Continue by Sri tanjung (sorry, economic train), depart surabaya 03.30 pm, and arrive probolinggo at 05.30 pm. Pick up by travel agent transport to your complete tour. You have good itinerary, agree with u.
Good road for route Malang - Surabaya, just many traffict there. For shopping, it's provided of souvenir in Bromo (Sunrise highest ppoint), Batu and Malang. Our recommendation, de Java Surrounding Tour & Travel is one of good service travel agency, experienced, located at Probolinggo. you can go there by plane (for singapore tourists. For visitors from other countries maybe should transit in Jakarta, then take a plane to Surabaya or go by train.) If you go by train, I recommend Argo Bromo.
If you have a car, you'd better getting around by car. But if you don't, I recommend you to go by taxi. Going by minibus (public transport) is cheap, but you maybe will be shocked to find that it is very 'crowded' and smoke (cigarettes) everywhere.

Rujak Cingur

Name it as 'black salad' because the contents are so unique. Green vegetables, tofu, shrimp crackers, fried tempe and .... lips of the cow --called cingur-- then served with black sauce, made by shrimp paste, palm sugar and chilli (shrimp paste from east Java can be found in Thailanese food called 'nampla'.
