Quality Hotel Bandara is located in Jakarta International Airport Terminal 2, second floor. For its location, it has a good point: inside the airport in terminal 2. Generally, it is a big disappointment for us. Our linens were not totally dry and we could see some stains and hair on the linen. Furthermore, only one bath towel was available and it took about 3 hours to get an extra towel (after constantly calling to the room service). The service was terrible: front desk forgot our wake-up call request and the housekeepers will not refill your toilet/shower supply when they are not totally finished. The breakfast is an average buffet. You may be relieved by knowing that it is located in the airport when you are concerned with your safety, but we were shocked to see that they don’t do checking in the entrance. Meaning to say anybody who is carrying anything could enter the hotel. No lift is available so carrying many things will be a burden though the airport has the left baggage service counters. It has security box, small fridge, TV with limited satellite programs-mostly local programs and hot kettle jar. The toilet was ok but bath tub is not available. With the price of 90US$ a day (September 2007), we should accept a little bit better service. You may see the booking or its email address in their official website but they don’t do anything at all. We will not be back there anymore. When you have to book the hotel on your arrival day in Jakarta International Airport, I suggest you to book the hotel from KAHA tour and travel desk. It is located at the arrival gate of international flights in terminal 2 (upper floor), somewhere near the McDonald and Sheraton Hotel lounge. After passing the final security x-ray belt on the arrival area, you will reach the exit door, where you can see the public waiting room. Turn to your left and the KAHA tour and travel will be on your right side. It is the location if you will go out to the arrival gate near the McDonald restaurant. On the arrival with the domestic flights, you may see the hotel reservations near the baggage claim area, but you will not get the good deal that you may get in KAHA. Just go to the airport shuttle bus stop and go to terminal 2 to get the good deal in KAHA. The bus is free, available every 5-10 minutes and it has a big storage for your luggage at the back. I compare the price on those hotel reservations and tour agencies on the same time many times and I always get the good price in KAHA. The Puri Santrian is a quiet 3* resort in Sanur. I stayed there for some days while in Bali. The hotel is nice , though its access to the beach is a bit out of hand and it was undergoing renovations on the pool by the time I was there.
It has nice gardens , with balinese sculptures, nice rooms, cottage style, and two nice restaurants, the Beach Club Bar and the Mezzanine. I advise you, if you can afford it, to book a Santrian Club room, larger and much nicer than the others. It also has two pools. It's a good value for money if you are considering staying in the Sanur area. Service is also very good and people there are very smily. Not knowing a country and what is available, we had to have faith in the travel agent's recommendations. We ended up choosing this place - the Melasti Beach Resort in Legian. Tracy and I paid $26AUD each per nite for our accommodation and breakfast which we thought was amazing value. The location was perfect as well, close enough to the busy hive of Kuta, but far enough out of the craziness so you still felt like you were in "paradise". There are many chairs, wardrobes, shutters and other furniture made by woods. The arrange and decorate are instinct with traditions style of Indonesiat.
I like their bed, very soft and comfortable. They have a big swimming pool and garden area, it's also characteristic of the roof top lobby, I like it.
