Gardena: Bamboo huts in the garden

It's a nice hotel located up on the hillside in Labuan Bajo. It has nice view overlooking the ocean from almost each room balcony. The rooms are made from wood and bamboo. Shower is available, but there is no hot water. For a hot and humid place like this, hot water is pretty much unnecessary. But if you do want to have shower with hot water, i suggest you take shower between 1-3 pm when the water is still hot from the sun. During hot season, there are times where you have mix the water with cold water as it has become too hot!
Each room is equipped with fan and mosquito net.
The restaurant is also nice, although service can be really slowwww. Oh yeah, because the huts are made from bamboo, the wall can be really thin. Meaning, you can literally hear "everything" next to your room. Do not leave any valuable things inside. It's not really a safe place.

the view is great and the tropical garden is nice

Diving and Sleeping onboard the "Komodo Dancer": Komodo Liveaboard

For the avid divers, a one-week liveboard trip to Komodo is one of the best things you can do. The boat leaves from Bali and passes the islands of Lombok, Sumbawa, Satonda, Sangeang etc. until it reaches the Komodo National Park. After several days, the boat returns to Bali/Benoa harbour.

It's a 30 m long wooden boat built for divers. It can accommodate about 14 divers. You can do about 4 dives every day which is very convenient because you don't have to travel long ways for the dive spots. Food is great and plentiful.

In between the dives, you can sunbathe, read a book, enjoy the scenic landscape, watch videos or just have a nap. There is also the opportunity of doing some land excursions - of cours to Komodo to watch the dragons and other animals or do a walk on an uninhabited island, up a hill or visit a crater lake.
