House of Mr. Jagawana: Kelapa Island's stage house

There is only one stage-house in Kelapa island. This house has about 8 rooms with very basic accomodations. The house's made of wood and located about 2 minutes walk to the beach. There's a matras on each room, no electricity power during the day. At night they use agenerator for the electricity power to light up the house which will be on when it gets dark and off when the sun rises. The toilet is outside located behind the house. You can ask the wife of the house guard to make you a breakfast, then they will charge you some extra cost. Foods' served are mainly seafoods.

INDRA PALACE HOTEL: LAMPUNG bAY VIEW

if you want to see A GOOD VIEW OF lampung BAY, INDRA PALACE HOTEL is a good choice, the location is an up hill of Bandar Lampung, stand in front of the Hotel, one can see a wide screen of Lampung Bay from right end corner to the Left end corner, it was gorgeous, a blue hill at the back ground, a great landscape of a bay, a bird eye view of ship and small islands, and a nice sunset in the afternoon%

A hotel with Air conditioned room, hot and cold shower, a Restaurant and coffee lounge, a warm welcome officer and guardmens

another option to stay is live aboard if your destination is not about visiting the national park of way kanan and way kambas, but to do trekking or diving around krakatau [krakatoa].

fresh fish to be grilled since local fishermen will approaching the ketch [boat] and do direct selling. it's nice and comfy, except if there's big waves along the day and night.

way kanan resort: the only "resort" at way kanan

do not get wrong with the name "resort" here. since way kanan resort is like a camp where we can stay with the foresters. simple brick building with several beds. they have double and dormitory type.

bring your own food to be cooked together with the forester. it's nice experience, since they have a garden [when we're there] with plenty of veggies as plantation. from green chili, pare [what is the name in english? bitter fruit? :)] to tomato. and used these for cooking.
and the nice experience is about pigs and monkeys come in whenever we're enjoy our meals. so, sharing food with the animals was something very cool for me!

kalpataru eco lodge: the only place at plang ijo

this is the only option we have at plang ijo [the entrance to way kambas national park, sumatran rhino sanctuary/srs and way kanan national park] before our trip to way kanan. everybody there know where is it, even there's no signboard or name in front of the hostel.

big room that can be used up to 4 person, nice hot tea in the evening and hectic-free place. even we had met squirrels and butterflies.

Budget Accommodation Is Scarce

For those travelling on a tight budget, the cheap losmen and guesthouses that you find elsewhere in Indonesia are in short supply in Bandar Lampung. The city doesn't see many tourists, and most of its hotels cater to business travellers. The few budget hotels listed in our guidebook were full, or at least they claimed to be. So we ended up paying much more than we normally would, but it was still very cheap compared to Western countries. I can't remember exactly how much it was; I think it was the equivalent of about US$ 8-10 as opposed to our usual US$ 3-5 range. And for our money we did get certain luxuries that we usually did without, like hot water and air conditioning.
