hotel grand soya: haywain in my room? :)
well, nothing wrong with the place, i mean if you just want to sleep and spend the whole day outside of the room. exception if you want to have sit in their lobby. as a heavy non-smoker, i could not stand more than five minutes in there.
Unique Quality: breakfast included and i found something "hilarious" in my room (double bed, executive) where i found copy of the haywain (john constable's) as a wall decoration in there. how can be the receptionist knows that i am indeed like the haywain? my beloved just commented "oh dear" :)

Amans Inns: Cheap Hotel
Rooms from $ 20, near bus and bemo terminals
Unique Quality: Ambon has for Indonesian standads expensive hotels, some of the cheap hotels are quite bad, Amans Inns is not too bad.

Budget travel hotel: Hotel Astika
For budget traveller like me, staying in this hotel is quite convenient because they provide a clean bed, TV, AC and near from everywhere either to the city or to the airport.

Recently Hotels in Ambon rebuilt as they were burned when Ambon fallen into riots since 1998. Along the main road A patty or main road next to traditional Market there's a 3 star Hotel. It has beach view room, as you can catch the local activities from your window. Within distance walking from the hotel you'll find Ambon pier, ferries from islands surround Ambon Island come regularly. It makes quite busy place, you can also buy fresh fishes from fish Market next to the pier. But you have to have a good bargaining skill otherwise you'll be charged over price.
