Beach Inn: Nice cheap place down the lake
This place has standart rooms (30000 rupiahs) and bungalows (50000 rupiahs). Each room has private bathroom. It was very basic, but was very clean. And for the price, I did not have any complaint whatsoever. They have cold beer and many choices of food, at very reasonable price. Tyo (one of the Beach Inn guy) makes delicious food.
Unique Quality: To get to Beach Inn we have to walk through rice fields. It was a really nice experience

cafe 44 and muaro beach: nothing last forever ....
we're enjoyed our stay in these places 2 years ago. directly to the lake and can have sunset swim easily all the time. nice and tranquil places.
but the thing we can not understand, the fish farming ponds are spread localwide, anywhere nearby these areas. and we feel so sad :(
Unique Quality: we did like the simple-humble bungalows they're had before. now seems turn into zero in service and condition :(

hotel pasir panjang permai: nice balcony in this hotel
yeah, we just stay a night here since we want to try some of accommodation along the road of bayua [bayur] to maninjau. so here we came for a nice pineapple juice :)
Unique Quality: some of the rooms directly heading to the lake [more expensive compared to normal room that facing to the main road].

guest house amai: we're the last visitors :(
we're the last visitors or guests at 2003!
there are [were] many guesthouses and bed-breakfasts also bungalows stroll along the way maninjau - bayua [bayur]. but one by one, due to the economic condition and only few travellers come, no wonder that they're finally decided to close their places.
including amai chik. we called her "spooky wooden house". the place was nice, full with old stuffs from dutch periods. and funny, since we're the only guests they're had. and whenever we back in 2005, we asked the boy in front of this guest house, "when the last guest visit your place?" he said, "in 1998." oh what?!!! so, we were stay in where 2 years ago? eerie me :)
Unique Quality: all of the wooden and old stuff they have!!!! our room was on second floor. nice scenery.

arlen's beach bungalows: directly to the lake
it's situated in secluded place. we have to walk about 6 minutes from the main road, passing the padi field [cooooooool] before reach the entrace gate of arlen's. it's nice scenery along the way and in front of us, the views heading directly to lake maninjau!
Unique Quality: the bungalows. by the edge of the lake. made from cement bricks but covered with wooden and bamboo accessories. make it classy. nice :)
