Enjoying nature in Baliem Valley
I stayed in Baliem Valley Resort for 3 days, and it was interesting. There were no electricity available at all times. Electricity through generator were only available from 5 pm to 10 pm. If you need to charge your cell phone / camera / or other personal devices that needs electricity, you have to be back to hotel during these times. Be prepared. The location of the hotel is quite far from downtown, and is easier to be reached if you use four-wheel drive vehicle since the road is very bumpy. If you are adventurous enough, it should'nt be a problem. Because the scenery is fantastic! As for myself, I would still expect electricity after 10 pm instead of total darkness in the room, although the hotel provided guests with candle and matches to survive in the dark.
No tv, no telephone, no drinking water in the room. Hard to communicate with hotel staffs if you require anything at all.
