Cliffs in Batam
There's alot of beautiful cliffs here in Batam. You may wonder why you've not seen such places on your last visit. Go with an itenery that covers the outskit of Batam and you'll see what you've been missing.

2) Can I find tropical spa or massage nearby the area?
3) Understand there are 2 harbour in Batam, please advise if it is very ex to travel on cab if I would take Penguin Ferry and from there to Nongsapoint?
4) Is nongsapoint far from Golden Prawn 933 Seafood Restaurant?
I really need help urgently as I'm going to book both ferry and the resort this week..
Thanks a million
i can't help you with the nongsapoint resort review.
but if you are really unsure and get no other replies, you might like to try batam view resort. i enjoyed the villa and it is quite cheap. stayed there a few times. it is owned by a singaporean. if you like a contact, send me a vtmail.
there are spas in the resort. honestly, the quality of the spas in batam is not so high... but it is very cheap.
cab is cheap in batam.
can't help on 933. however if you do go with batam view, all meals can be inclusive in the package. again, it is cheap...
if you intend to shop, quality of goods are not really there. food wise, kueh lapis, you can buy at the ferry terminal. can't really think of anything else to buy in batam...

On our way to the last island in the Batam Archipelago, we came across several such vista points, where you can just stop your vehicle, look around, click photographs and proceed. The view is available from the Barelang bridge.
We took a group photo in front of the Buddhist Temple at Pulao Galang, near the Vietnamese camp. The temple looks exotic in all the bright colours. There are some interesting wall paintings in front of this temple. Right behind us was a dragon statue. The greenary around is very pleasing to eyes. There is an absolute silence at the temple premises.
At Galang island if you visit the cemetary you'll see some tombstones inscribed words of freedom of the dead. It showed how they struggle for life on the Vietnamese cemetary here.
Really I feel sad about them. I saw many Vietnamese died with their babies and child in their grave. They love Batam so much and refuse to go back to thier own country Vietnam after Vietnam War. They wish to die here and so they sucide themselves.
This is one place one should avoid visiting. There are a couple of hospitals in Batam. What seen here is one of the top hospital there. Going to places like for the real poor locals would be nightmare for one who've never seen war torn medical aid place. There's bed but no mattress. You have to bring your own mattress and pillow for your own use. As the price varies. No money means no medical attention. You'll be left out on the street. Find it fancy? Well, can't say much about the culture.
