A Night Lamp by DarkRay This does not refer to any hotel in particular. But if you are planning a trip to Bintan from Singapore, you may want to book both the ferry tickets and accomodation from BRF Holidays instead. BRF is of course Bintan Resort Ferries and is the operator of the ferries shuttling between Singapore's Tanah Merry Ferry Terminal and Bintan's Bandar Bentan Telani Ferry Terminal. BRF Holidays is also the main booking agent for most of the hotels in Bintan and almost all the travel agents in Singapore (online and offline) resell the holiday packages from them. When you buy direct from BRF Holidays, you can often save about 15% or more!
It's significantly cheaper. Enough said!

Banyu Biru Villas by DarkRay I did not stay here during my visit to Bintan, but a friend did and I think it is a great place for families and friends who would like to stay together during their holiday there. Each villa is self-contained with its own bedrooms (there are 2 - 4 bedrooms villa for 4 to 8 guests), living area, and kitchen (for some). Banyu Biru Villas has its own swimming pool and club house, but I think most of its guests will just go to the Nirwana Resort located next door instead, as it boast more extensive as well as better facilities. The best part was that it is quite a bit cheaper than staying at Nirwana Resort.
It offers quite good privacy as each villa is some distance away from the next.

by bpacker Well, it seems that the birthday message on the bed wasn't the only surprise to be had. After hubby and I went for a sumptous seafood BBQ dinner at Pantai Grill on the Beach, we returned to find a mini fruit b'day cake, complete with candles, knives and forks! I have to say, this time, we were grinning from ear to ear and thinking of the nicest compliments for the management....

Main Lobby by DarkRay Nirwana Resort is a bright and cheery resort-style hotel. During my stay, the hotel was very well-kept and was an absolute joy to stay in. This beach fronted hotel is located within the sprawling grounds of Nirwana Gardens and offers a reasonable array of recreational and business facilities. Although designed to cater to the masses, it somehow still manage to retain a quiet sense of serenity which permeates the atmosphere there. The staff were also very friendly and smile whenever eye contact is made - Genuine Indonesian hospitality. In short, Nirwanwa Resort is a great and affordable place to unwind.
The free form swimming pool is one of the best of any hotel. It is landscaped with well-placed plants and has 2 jucuzzi sections. It also offers its users a great view of the beach and the South China Sea!

Outside a cabana, Manamana by bpacker Other than Angsana, there are other budget sleeps and spas around the island. Here's a handy list ManaMana - Simple chalets by the beach, popular with undergrads and the younger crowd who are intrested in sea sports. There is rocky outcrop there that has lots of bannerfish and sea cucumber. http://www.manamana.com (S$100+++) Nirwana Resort Hotel - Very popular with Singaporean families. They have a spa/hotel package . There is a sister hotel by the name of Mayang Sari Hotel but it does not have a pool. www.asmaraspas.com(S$130+). Theme: Other

Mayang Sari Beach Resort by kielorla The room is designed in a traditional Indonesian style. Very spacious and also very comfortable. The only con is that since it is near to the sea, the wooden floor is always sticky due to the sea salt. And the TV channel may not has a good reception at times. But who need the TV anyway when you can enjoy the sea and the breeze.

Sea view from room by kielorla While laying on your king-size bed, you are able to enjoy the fantastic view of the sea. There is a little window locate beside the bed. You just have to turn to your side and you got the most beautiful view ever. I have a great time waking up with such a great view every morning.

Mayang Sari Beach Resort by kielorla We have a private chalet facing the sea. The chalet has very basic stuff that you need and also a very clean bed and toilet. The chalet is very spacious and with a tall ceiling, the room is very cooling even in a hot sunny day. We have our own verandah which we can have tea and wine while we enjoying the sea breeze. The staffs are all very friendly people and also they clean up the beach everyday.
