Simple & pleasant hotel

South Jakarta, Simple & cozy hotel. The journey from airport takes about half hour. The south of Jakarta is a different feel compare to the last time I stayed in Gran Melia which is located in centrally. Just outside of Gran Mahakam you will find quite a bit of eatery places. The street is quite vibrant during the day & night. So it’s rather congested at time leading in & out of the hotel. Other than that the the facilities, service & room are ok. Nothing to shout about though.

Which Hotel to stay?

Hi - I will be traveling to Jkt with my family next month and are looking for a suitable accommodation for my family which consists of my mother-in-law and also my 12 year old son. I was thinking of Ciputra Hotel so that both of them can go shopping during the day on their own but somebody suggested Sahid Jaya. Our attention to go there is to shop and also taste the wonder Indonesian cuisines. Pls suggest which hotel I should stay at or is there other suggestions for other hotels which would suit my family. Tks a lot.

Hi..
Cintraland Hotel is Ok as they connected to Citraland mall and Taman Anggrek Mall not so far...(in west Jakarta)
Sahid located in the central of business (Jl. Sudirman).. within walking distance or take Busway (across the hotel) you can go evrywhere..
My opinion.. Sahid is the good choice.. and also the hotel in Jl. KH. Wahid Hasyim..(Ibis Tamarin etc)..or Sari Pacific Hotel ...

Gran Mahakam www.granmahakam.com ~ near flower market, fish (alive) market, birds market, lots of nearby restaurants, shopping mal
Hotel Atlet Century ~ near shopping mal with bowling alley, cinema, food court. In front of Sports complex such as putt2 golf, jogging area, driving range. www.atletcentury.com
