I dont think there is a name Bazar Baruh in Jakarta. But we have Pasar Baru. If what you mean is Pasar Baru, the location is in Central Jakarta. Not far from Istiqal Mosque (central mosque in Jakarta). Pasar Baru is famous enough. Taxi driver can take you there.

Pasar Baru
a shopping area in Central Jakarta, in the corner of Jalan (street) Ir H Juanda and Jalan Gunung Sahari.
You can find textiles, shoes, and tailor (sometimes textile shop offer tailor service).
besides taxi, you can go there by Transjakarta bus.

We don't have a bazar baruh but we do have a Pasar Baru (or Passar Baroe, the old Dutch would say it). Pasar means market, Baru means new. But you can't imagine it looks like a new modern shopping centre. Au contraire, it's an area with long streets and filled with markets. Good place to look for shoes and lace or fabrics.
It's just in front of the Jakarta Art Centre. Very close to the Cathedral and the Mosque of Istiqlal.
You can ride taxi from the National Monument (Monas) for USD 2.5-3. Maybe less.

The Betawis - the real Jakartans
by latte18
Being Indonesia's capital city, Jakarta is the hub of the country's business, political, and industry. This has attracted countless people from many parts of the country. The Betawis and its culture, the real locals of Jakarta, has been slowly supplanted by the arrival of these other cultures.
Thumbs up to the local government who urge the preservation of the Betawi culture. Condet, an area in South East Jakarta has been designated as the center for the preservation of the Betawi culture.
The Betawis has a very rich culture and is reflected through many art forms such as the Tari Topeng (Mask Dance), Ondel-Ondel (three-meter tall masked puppet), and the Lenong Betawi (comedy play) to name a few. These and other Betawi arts make frequent appearance in many Jakarta's celebration.
Private Car Driver job and Shopping Mall Security
by rmiya84778
In Jakarta and in cities thru out Indonesia, many people hire a driver to take them places in there cars. My fiance owns a Honda car but has no drivers license. She will hire a driver or have relatives drive her car. It is very inexpensive to hire a driver. Something I noticed whenever I went to shopping malls is that at the main entrances, there is a concierge service where they announce over intercom the name of the driver and that there passenger is ready to be picked up. The drivers wait in the parking lot for the owners or passengers. ALSO: Before entering major shopping malls or hotels in Jakarta, all cars/vehicles entering are searched inside and outside of vehicle, underneath, and under hood . All this came about due to high incidents of bombings thru out Indonesia. More security now apparent where ever you go in the city of Jakarta at shopping malls and hotels. Use caution and look out for suspicious people or unattended baggage.
Millionare

Don`t be suprised when you get to Jakarta you find out that you a millionare. The currency here starts from 1000 rupiah bills , 5000 , 10 000 , 20 000 , 50 000 and 100 000 bills
I think the exchange rate when I was there was 1US$ is equal to 10 000 IDR.
Eating, Movies & Kidzania
by BeeTea about Pacific Place
What I like most from this mall is it has various kind of good restaurants. The decorations is unique as well, with boats, beach with water and clear sky. My favorite restaurant is Ta-Wan for their best porridge in town, Pancious for its mango waffel, and Urban Kitchen foodcourt with its city view (various of foodstall available as well).
For children there's a game center named Kidzania where children can play adults role and learn i.e as a pilot, driver, doctor, etc...
