A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

Quality Hotel Bandara is located in Jakarta International Airport Terminal 2, second floor. For its location, it has a good point: inside the airport in terminal 2. Generally, it is a big disappointment for us. Our linens were not totally dry and we could see some stains and hair on the linen. Furthermore, only one bath towel was available and it took about 3 hours to get an extra towel (after constantly calling to the room service). The service was terrible: front desk forgot our wake-up call request and the housekeepers will not refill your toilet/shower supply when they are not totally finished. The breakfast is an average buffet. You may be relieved by knowing that it is located in the airport when you are concerned with your safety, but we were shocked to see that they don’t do checking in the entrance. Meaning to say anybody who is carrying anything could enter the hotel. No lift is available so carrying many things will be a burden though the airport has the left baggage service counters. It has security box, small fridge, TV with limited satellite programs-mostly local programs and hot kettle jar. The toilet was ok but bath tub is not available. With the price of 90US$ a day (September 2007), we should accept a little bit better service. You may see the booking or its email address in their official website but they don’t do anything at all. We will not be back there anymore.

Is there an hourly rate hotel near the airport? we need to be near the area as we have early flight going to yogyakarta the following day. thanks

Hi,
The Jakarta Airport Hotel - which is right at the terminal - has "day use (max 6 hours)" rates.
However, their rates are too high considering the quality of the hotel IMHO, and probably not applicable in your case, as you stay (part of) the night. Rates are from USD 110 to 185 for overnight use and from USD 65 tp USD 105 for day use excl. of 21% tax and service, although you may negotiate a discount for the amount of the latter.
Perhaps better try one of the hotels on 10-15 minutes drive from the airport. They may have complimentary pickup service, ask at the hotel info counter,

Budget choices include: Permata Bandara Hotel, Huswah Transit Hotel and Hotel Ellia Bandara. I have no personal experience of them, try googling these names for some comments.

The budget accomodation near airport is Huswah Hotel (Phone : 021 - 5555 885). The hotel provide pick up service to hotel. The room rate Rp 150.000 - 175.000.
