One of the finests
Mandarin Oriental is one of Jakarta's original luxury hotels; and remains to be one of its best.
It's located on MH Thamrin road, the most famous road at the heart of the business district. It is close to several shopping centers and has easy access to the embassy district.
If you have not stayed at a Mandarin Oriental property before it is a chain of luxury hotels, comparable to Four Seasons in the West.
I stayed here once for my aunt's wedding and expect the luxury of a 5-star hotel. The building doesn't look too 'grand' from the outside, as it has been there a while but service is superb and the rooms are beautifully furnished.

Its a nice hotel, especially when get the room infront of welcome statue, Bunderan HI.
Easy to get eveywhere and nice staff...

Tight security at the hotel. Cars were scanned before letting into the driveway.Bags were scanned like airport. Checking in was a bit slow. Rooms were pretty ok.

Fantastic service, nothing is too much trouble for them. When I told them I was leaving at 4am they told me they would prepare a special breakfast pack for me.
Unique Quality: Fast internet in the rooms (although you have to pay). Close to the Indonesia Plaza which is full of expensive shops but with good food court and pharmacy in the basement.

Excellent hotel, particularly when you come here regularly, as people seem to really care about you and note down things you like (e.g. I like mangoes, so each time I check in, I have a bowl of mangoes waiting in my room for me). Centrally located, across is the shopping mall Plaza Indonesia. Breakfast included with excellent choice. 4 restaurants (Japanese, Chinese, Italian, buffet restaurant). Good to invite business associates to any of the 4 restaurants for lunch or dinner. Would not want to go to any other hotel in Jakarta. (Next best is Borobudur Hotel because of its 700 m running track in its ample garden and sports facility. But there they never seem to remember you.)

very nice nights accomadation
very enjoyable stay good views over the city , service was good very large comfortable rooms . even as its own office desk in room so you can work in comfort. two showers to room sat tv minibar .
Unique Quality: very central to all consulates , offers pick up service from airport at extra charge . good resturant and bar, night time pianist in bar .
