Classic wooden theme
For those who like classic style, wooden architecture, this might be the hotel for you.
Luxurious hotel and expensive, for a corporate rate I get free internet usage.
Update for my business trip on March 2008
My corporate rate was stripped from the free internet usage.
Eventhough I've called prior to my trip to confirmed if internet usage is included in the rate, the service desk still argued and charged me for the internet.
I'm very disappointed with that kind of service, I'm dropping the ratings to Somewhat unsatisfied.

A Trip to Paradise
Shangri-La Jakarta, like other Shangri-Las, excels in servicing the guests. All the staffs and employees are friendly and very accomodating. Everyone tries to help down to the smallest details. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone who has experienced the Shangri-La friendliness worldwide and to those who want to experience the incomparable hospitality of Shangri-La.
Unique Quality: This hotel has great restaurants: Nadaman for Japanese food, BATS for the western food and bar, Margaux for French fine dining, Lobby Lounge for the hi-tea buffet, Shang Palace for Chinese food, and SATOO featuring eight open kitchen stations from around the world.
The rooms and public areas are equipped in broadband and free wi-fi access.

Unique Quality: A top class hotel. Very convenient location, close to both the Plaza Indonesia as well as Plaza Senayan. Not too near to the Hotel Indonesia roundbout to get stuck in traffic if there was a demonstration. Excellent restaurants, friendly staff that speaks English. Very good security.

Hi everybody,
I will be checking in Shangri-la Jakarta from April 18-22. Does anybody know of any nearby golf courses, accessible by taxi, from that hotel and the approximate green fees? Thanks
