Lokon Valley Homestay: So generously helpful!

Actually i didnt stay here but it was with much regrets that i didnt. I had relied on the lonely planet and had chosen its neighbor, Happy Flower Homestay, only to realise that Lokon Valley is cheaper and the owners are soooo helpful, hospitable and sincere! So instead, i end up having all my meals at Lokon Valley, which serves cheap and tasty food, better than Happy Flower.

Unique Quality: The owners are so terribly helpful and genuinely warm people! They are so generous in providing as much information as they can to help you. Dispensing good advice as well as telling you the cheapest alternatives. They will even draw up a map to guide and make it easy for you to move around! In addition, they have a few log books in which travellors actually penned down their experiences and recommendations. These books offer invaluable notes.

Highland Resort, Tomohon.: Refreshing Highland Resort,Tomohon!

It was a very pleasant experience staying at the highland. Every morning and evening, we were greeted by beautiful sunrise and sunset.

The surrounding air was refreshing. It was simply cool staying there. Even though there was no air-conditioning in the room, it was cooling.

You will get to see different shades of colour of Mt Lokon, one of the volcano opposite the resort. The resort was surrounded by coconut trees, plants and rainforest.

I will recommend you to stay over for a night or two to enjoy the beautiful highland of Manado before or after your dives at Bunaken Marine Park or Lembeh Straits.

Unique Quality: The facilities and amenities were basic but the service was unique. There were no phones in the room but a very personalised bell in front of each room for you to ring for any services you need.
