More about Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali
If you want the best resort then stay at the Holiday Inn Bali
My niece, Tracey and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Bali for 11 nights, checking in 26 May and leaving on 7 June. This resort is one of the best we have stayed in. The staff couldn't do enough for you and went out of their way to make you feel welcome. They were friendly, relaxed and genuine. The resort itself is beautiful and the ambience was one where you had no choice but to unwind. It is not far from Kuta, you could either walk or catch a taxi which is only about AU$2.50 at the most. The meals were fabulous and the breakfast was superb offering a wide range of choices. We preferred to eat dinner at the Envy Restaurant located on the Resort and the service was exemplary and again the meals excellent. The pool is fantastic and was always clean. We spent many a day just relaxing and swimming. Again the staff provided you with the service that made you feel pretty 'special and important'. The security at the resort was also of a high standard. I often get up during the night and everytime I ventured outside 'to have a smoke' there were security guards walking around the resort. If by chance you need anything or something is not what you desire, a simple phone call to reception, and they resolved the issue for you. Would I go back? Most definitely and without any reservation. We cannot speak highly enough of the staff who went out of their way to make our stay one to remember with such happy memories. Cheers, Doreen, Australia.
Stunning Hotel with everything you could every imagine
My partner and i recently stayed here for 5 nights. This is by far the nicest hotel i have ever stayed in. Everything is new and clean. The staff were just amazing they will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. The pool is massive with a swim up bar and a nice shallow area around shin deep to lay on and bake in the hot Bali sun. We stayed 4 nights in a superior room and the last night in a buruna suite. Although the superior room was small it was extremely nice. The buruna suite was crazy!!!!! On the top floor over looking the pool and the ocean. It has its own lounge room, 2 toilets, monster bathroom, 2 large balcony's, and two 42 inch samsung LCD panels on the wall. Words can not describe this suite.
We ate the beach restaurant once which was reasonable food, however a bit expensive. Same as the bar, it was 35,000 rup for a small bintang which by Bali standards is expensive.
All in all we couldn't falter the holiday inn Bali, and will definitely be going back on our next trip to Bali.
nice and relaxing
Just a couple of points from a happy stay at Holiday Inn Baruna Bali:
- Stayed there for 4 nights, the hotel was just newly renovated, so everything was very clean..
-The room was not big, but cozy enough.
- Excellent swimming pool. The hotel has both kids and adult swimming pools.
- Staffs were always friendly but not "overly" friendly, which was nice. The beach was not great, but nice just to sit on the bar (smaller version of Kudeta) and watch the sunset.
- We were probably lucky that guests were not that many that you could easily have seats and tents.
- Breakfast is excellent. Certainly, the hotel serves one of the better mie and nasi goreng in all hotels in Bali.
My Husband and I stayed for 5 nights, a short break without the children. Hotel wasn't very busy as it only opened recently. It was great. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and modern as the rest of the hotel was. The staff couldnt do enough for you and always appeared happy, we enjoyed many friendly chats with them mainly at the swim up bar.
We only ate at the buffet breakfast in the hotel, there was plenty of variety and food was good. We ate out in the evenings as we felt the prices for drinks and food were rather expensive compared to eating at a restaurant just up the road in Kuta. But our breakfst was included in our room price package.
Will definately use this hotel again for future visits.
Small but Magnificent hotel room!
It's a new hotel.Reception was very efficient, friendly and warm. Our room was small but nicely decorated .Again,so fresh and new.Very clean hotel .Decor was Minimalist and modern design.Staff uniform was new and fashionable.Swimming pool was clean and nicely designed.
Beach was not very interesting.Ample parking area with good security. We had breakfast in Palms and it was very good.Wide range of food although the "Egg Officer"was not friendly enough to cater my needs.Waitress named Dewi was very helpful to us.
Location of the hotel was a bit hard to find.
If you want to hang around Jalan Kartika Plaza area, then this is the best hotel.'Highly recommended.
Nice Hotel, great staff.
I had three nights in the Holiday Inn after a congress in Bali and had a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hotel is located south of Kuta, right on the quiet beach with a boardwalk access to other hotels and restaurants. The room was small but well furnished. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning and a fridge that can be stocked from the hotel shop. The pool restaurant served an excellent breakfast and both the swim-up and beach bars gave excellent service.
The gardens are very well tended and the pool area has many beds and cabanas and music piped around contributes to the relaxing ambiance of the resort.
The staff in the hotel were first class. All relatively young, clearly well trained and very friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
Hopefully I will visit Bali again, and if so will certainly consider the Holiday Inn.
Beautiful new hotel
We stayed for just one night at the end of our trip to Bali. We booked the hotel using Holiday Inn point, we only had to use 15000 points, which was fab, especially as when we arrived we were instantly upgraded to a greden view room. The room was very stylish, had a glass walled bathroom, (which did have blinds for privacy), the mattress on the bed was about 12 inches thick, add to the that the two inch thick mattress protector and you know you are going to get a good nights sleep, I woke in the night and could not believe how quiet the place was, fantastic! We used the pool whilst we were there, it is lovely and has a very smart pool bar, the drinks were a little pricey by Balinese standards, but hey with these surroundings who cares! One thing that impressed us greatly was the fact that all prices in the hotel were nett, which meant no nasty extra charges! We had breakfast there which cost 160,000 rupiah each and was lovely, the hjot food was especially good as was being kept warm on proper electric ceramic hotplates. I am not sure that this would be the place for a two week holiday but for a few nights it would be a lovely treat.
Manage your expectations!
We have just checked out after 3 nights at the Holiday Inn in Tuban. The pool and grounds are pretty spectacular - all egg-shell white with bright pink flowers. The whole poolside area is right on the beach, so you can see the sparkling sea from the sun lounges - just beautiful and we could have been in a boutique hotel in Greece.
Unfortunately that's where the good impression ends. The hotel itself it old, and only the interiors have been done up. The furniture is lovely, but the balconies of the superior rooms are so small and barely a chair can be squeezed on there. The room is also tiny by bali standards. We couldn't put our bag on the floor, so it had to sit on the one armchair which meant we couldn't use that!
The worst thing about this hotel is the bathroom. It's as small as a London phone box.. Only one person can fit in there and that's only if the shower door is closed. Speaking of which, it's so poorly designed that once you're in the shower, you can't get out! You have to reach to the top of the door and pull it towards you, as you can't push it open bc it hits the toilet.....our toilet was also broken. It kept slipping sideways when you sat on it, so we asked for it to be repaired and apparently it was, but it still slipped, so i think it's just a cheap toilet.
Finally, don't count on the internet. They don't have Wifi in the rooms, and you have to pay US$10hour. It was very unreliable and we got majorly overcharged, so thankfully they removed this cost from our bill, as we were pretty angry we couldn't check some urgent emails.
The location isn't great. You need to cab to get into Kuta, and there's nothing at Tuban. There is a lovely path along the oceanside to Kuta which would be perfect if it weren't so hot. It was about a 20-25min walk at night which was stunning, but impossible in the hot sun.
Finally, the breakfast was superb. It was the best breakfast in Bali (and we've stayed in a lot of hotels!).
Overall, if there was a really good deal, we'd probably stay here again, but I did leave a little disappointed.
Heavenly...Paradise in Bali !!!
Everything about the hotel was great... The trendy yet cozy decor, the comfy rooms, the wonderful swimming pool, the oh so yummy delicious array of food served at the restaurants, the excellent ambience of the place, the scenic view of the sunset and the warm service of their staff... Just simply a great hotel to stay and relax in for the perfect blissful holiday..... I certainly will recommend to my friends and to all !!!
