Harris Hotel Tuban: 24/7 friendly and motivated service

There are 2 Harris Hotels in Bali, the other one's in the Kuta area. Tuban is a good place to live if you like your mornings a little quieter than Kuta beach. They have a pool with deck chairs and an in-house spa (but I heard the massage wasn't particularly gd, better stuff outside the hotel). There's an internet point at the Lobby but it's quite unstable and slow, and they charge by 15-min blocks so that's not too savvy either. Rooms are comfortable with a shower, stocked up minibar, tea & coffee making facilities, cable TV, laundry services and 24-hr room service. Each room has a little balcony where you can hang your surf wear and just catch some fresh morning air. The rastaurant is located behind the reception, small and simple, but still comfortable, and food is relatively ok. Their trade colour is orange which gives the place a perky, lively feel. They also make use of lots of water for landscaping which gives the place its resort-feel. Located about 5 minutes from the airport, you can also walk to the beach if the weather's good - it will take u about a half hour. But that's ok cos there's lots of stuff to browse along the way and just up the road is the Kuta Art market where tourists almost always end up buying something. Otherwise, hop a cab and you're in Kuta in 10 mins.
The Harris Hotel Tuban is great for the business traveller and small families.

Unique Quality: The staff were outstanding. Caring and efficient, with a lot of initiative. We noticed they were very observent. The hotel is very accomodating, willing to be flexible to accomodate your requests. They really do their best. It's also great to see how the hotel's managed to pack so much into a somewhat small area. The hotel doesn't have grounds that spread, unlike most other hotel/resort type places in Bali, and that lets the price get a little lower than the hotels tt surround the Harris. But don't worry, it's hardly claustraphobic!
