Bali or Thailand?
We are a group of six male twens and want to spent next winter at tropical beaches... Which site would you recommend? Partying should be part and parcel of the journey, but we also want to do some sightseeing. None of us is interested to sunbath whole day and we definitely do not want to be "captured" in club areas all the time.
So what do you recommend? Or do you recommend other sites (also outside of Asia)?
Re: Bali or Thailand?
Try Thailand. You may see a lot of fone things on North and in Bangkok tii. If you want to go to the beach there a lot of sightseeng in Phuket and Krabi. From Krabi you may see Iskand such Pee-pee, Ko Lanta and more; you may go to National Parks and so on. If you need more information you may contact me freely
Re: Bali or Thailand?
Why not try Bali? It is a very beautiful country and very nice people it will surprise you:-).It got amazing beaches. Thailand is also a beautiful country but lots of tourist go there and it becoming commercialise because of this but whatever country you decide to go... ENJOY!
Re: Bali or Thailand?
Although we do not want too overcrowded package tourism, it is important for us, that something is going on... So we do not seek lorn places and partying is iportant as mentioned.
Re: Bali or Thailand?
Bali has the advantage that it is a small island, easy to go somewhere in a daytrip. Kuta is the famous place for partying and nightlife; beach is nearby although the sea is not so safe, for swimming stick to the guarded parts.
From Kuta you can go sightseeing all over Bali in a rented car, it's cheap.
Enjoy yourselves,
Theo
Re: Bali or Thailand?
Tough question. If it's partying you're after for, Thailand definitely has the edge (Phuket is on top of the list), although Bali has its fair share of bars and clubs in Kuta. But in terms of sighseeing, Bali has, in my view got richer culture, especially around Ubud, despite it being very touristy. Putting more weight on partying, I guess Thailand prevails. Have fun!

Re: Bali or Thailand?
I prefer Bali as you can enjoy a lot of things there - surf or sunbathe. You can also watch cultural dances, enjoy a day in the spa or eating in seaside restaurants.

Thailand is also pretty but touristy and busy.
