Where to stay/go?

by luce_uk

Hi all

Thinking of visiting Bali later in the year and would like some information on where to stay. We want to stay somewhere close to good nightlife (e.g lively stretch of bars/late night shops/restaurants etc) but also want to stay near a lovely white sandy beach?? Is there such a place located in the ideal location?? Also want to stay in a lovely hut type chalet rather than a hotel storey block. Any ideas would be very much appreciated!! x

Hi

Im goin to Bali in July for a month...Kuta is fabulous if you love all the night life etc, but if you want the huts, Nusa Lembongan is great as we're staying in those. They are called the Hai Tide huts and they are right on the beach front and not too expensive either.Only thing is, Nusa lembongan is not close to Kuta, its in a part of its own on an island..

Hi
I am going in June
I have stayed at the Bounty hotel in Poppies lane II,
it is just down the street 5 mins from the beach & 5 mins from the main strip for clubs.
Not really a hut style but a excellent location for night life with good pool bar to meet fellow travellers to go out with when your friends pike out.
I loved it there because they had special functions "all you can drink & eat" with entertainment for 4 hours every weekend.

The beach near the night life will bring heaps of hawkers bothering you so you may want to party a few nights & move out of kuta for relaxing on the beach for the rest.

what to do: dont worry about clothes from the street vendors, they all fluff up.
great handicraft & jewellery shopping along the main strip, silver necklaces $10.00, beaded necklaces $1.00 - 2.00

hair platting & massages galore

bargain hard as always

have a blast

Where can I book the high tide huts

I would like to book the high tide huts for a few nights & would like to know
what website to book on & what cost per night?
cheers

Bali in Jan / Feb and cheap secluded acomm required!

by kea30

Hi there, I am thinking of going to Bali in mid January or early February and was wondering if someone can tell me what the weather is like then. I'm also keen for some recommendations of really cheap accommodation that's good for a couple, ie. not sharing in a dorm, and is quite nice and perhaps even a bit remote... any tips welcome thanks so much!

Jan/Feb still rain season in Bali.
There are a lot of nice & cheap accomodations around bali. Depend on the area which part of bali do you like to stay.

Rini

The weather is good all year round in Bali,There is plenty of cheap hotels up on Poppies 2 road.It depends on how cheap you want.I stayed in the Bounty Hotel which was near the Sari Club and that was around $25USD a night and good for couples stayed there with my girlfriend. There is also another hotel across from the Bounty the name escapes me for the moment but that was around $20USD a night a norwegian couple i know stayed there.Hope that helps you

Legian and the areas surrounding Kuta have plenty of shops and you should find everything you need there. Galleria in Nusa Dua is another good shopping place, but things tend to be pricey there. I don't know about good fake Louis Vuittons in Bali but if you visit Jakarta, there's a whole floor in a mall dedicated to good quality fake branded names.

Enjoy your stay in Bali!
