Bali cycling tour
We like to take our teenage kids off the beaten track, and found a cycling tour run by a young Balinese who has started up his own business. I don't know about Sobek and other popular alternatives, but can recommend Bagiada and his company - Banyan Tree Cycling Tours - highly. We were in a group with 2 other families whose kids were younger: the littlest was on the back of his dad's bike in a child bike seat (provided by Bagiada) and the 2nd youngest was about 5 yrs. old but a feisty little boy who would not give up. The ride itself is easy, mostly down hill, with some stops in villages en route where local life, crops, typical family, etc. is explained to you. The last 10% had some hills, but the van is always there to take those who are too tired, and in addition there are extra guides who actually rode along side the kids and pushed them up the hill. The day ends with a fabulous late lunch at Bagiada's home (an honour!) so you don't get the usual resaurant foods (although those are fantastic in Bali also).
