The Haven Seminyak: Perfecto Stay

The hotel cleanliness was tip top. Staffs there are friendly and they could understand and speak simple English. The balcony is facing the swimming pool and there's a coffee table with 2 chairs for you to relax and enjoying the sip of beer as the weather there was extremely hot.

GRAND HYATT BALI: RESORT

This is a beautiful tranquil property and spread over 40 acres. It is promoted as the crowd jewel of resorts in the Nusa Dua area and it certainly lives up to its claim. Check out the website and we have no quarrels with their claims and the photo quite authentic although the rooms might have aged a little since the photo shoot.

There are food and beverage outlets spread over the property and if that is not enough, a 5 minute walk would get you to the Bali Collection shopping center where you can shop and dine to your heart's content.

Vast property with the beach just next to the Hotel. Less hustle and bustle of the Kuta beach area.

RAMADA BINTANG BALI RESORT: BUSINESS HOTEL

This Hotel is situated about 20 minutes walk to the main Kuta beach area.

It has a very majestic entrance and wide and varied although the rooms could do with soem make-over.

The Hotel has a beach front unlike the Hotels at Jl Pantai Kuta where you will need to cross the road to get to the beach.

Breakfast was good and varied.

Service could be improved and the staff more polite and smile more.

The beach front is next to the Hotel.

Hard Rock Bali: HARD ROCK IN BALI

Hard Rock Hotel is sited at the ideal location at the start of Kuta beach area and the Hard Rock Cafe at it's entrance. From the entrance by the roadside is a 50 meter drive up a slope to the main building.

As with the Hard Rock theme, the whole Hotel is decorated with this in mind including the rooms.

Staff are less formal than the traditional Hotels and the atmosphere is relaxed and all about fun.

A live band plays at the Centrestage Lounge until 11pm and the party starts thereafter at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Breakfast is good and they have a huge swimming pool area.

The Hotel is themed on the Hard Rock concept with all the rock n roll memorabilia and with informal atmosphere with emphasis on fun and more fun.

Taman Ahimsa: Taman Ahimsa Boutique resort; pure comfort.

We were thrilled arriving at Taman Ahimsa villa/ boutique hotel. Beautiful gardens and the sea close by which makes the cliché scene of tropical paradise complete. We stayed for 5 nights and no regards. The staff was kind and helpful and management was terrific. Besides the expected standard swimming pool (it wasn’t standard at all), they had an meditation circle lying hidden in the garden. In that they give yoga classes which took you away of your busy daily life and thoughts that come with it. They also provide Balinese massages along the traditional teachings. Luxury will not describe the Taman Ahimsa it is really worth your time to experience it.

Wellness facilities are different in the way that they are not the standard facillities. You can have a Balinese massage, meditation/ yoga in a special meditation circle and so on.
Thereby the style of the villas are designd that they blend into the surrounding.

Ritz-Carlton Bali Resort & Spa (The): Paradise

It was just like a heven. The price was very very reasonable considering it is Ritz Carlton and all the stuffs were very very nice. The pool is so amazing that it looks like the pool and ocean are together. The property is just amazing it would make you feel like you are in a paradise and maybe it is! It's a bit far from a town but it's a fast cab ride so we went to a town almost everyday to eat and do somethig.

Hard Rock Hotel Bali: Let's Rock 'n' Roll

You'll be disarmed by this hotel's fun, fanciful design. The lobby is typical Hard Rock Cafe, lined with once-used guitars and gold records, and the decor throughout is bright, with corridors done in varying rock themes. Rooms are light and airy, with photos of artists, and bathrooms are done in playful geometric patterns. The pool is the largest in Bali with slides and its own beach. There's an outdoor living room, an in-house radio station, and a recording studio where you can live out your own musician fantasies. Sure, rock blares around the clock in the lobby, which has a popular bar, and in other public areas, but the fabulous kids' playroom -- "Little Rock" -- and that pool make it a great option for boomer families. It's not really Bali, but it is good fun.

Facilities: 3 restaurants; 3 bars; outdoor pool (w/swim-up bar); health club; spa; kids' club; concierge; business center; shopping; salon; 24-hr. room service; massage; laundry service; dry cleaning; meeting rooms; Internet service; rock-'n'-roll library.

Maya Ubud: Great Place for a Honeymoon

I didn't actually stay in this hotel but I did have a visit and took some pictures. A friend of ours was working as a manager there and took us for a private tour.
It's really a lovely place - at the honeymoon suite there's a private plunge pool and a whole little 'apartment' area all for yourself. The decorations and landscaping of the place is fantastic too - love the lighting. If I'm not mistaken there's a golf course here as well.
Only drawback is that it's a bit on the quiet side, in Ubud area which is quite far away from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. Not really for those who want to party but perfect for couple's who want a little hideaway just for two. Of course the price is a little steep but well worth it.
