Thank you everyone. You all being very helpful.
Unfortunately September is a peak season and many of the suggested hotels are booked.
The available hotel would be :-
1) Hard Rock
2) Santika
3) Ramayana
4) Aston Kuta
Have anyone stayed in this hotel or can anyone suggest the best from this 4 please.

well, if you want to stay up-market you have come up with some of the more expensive hotels, and it's difficult to separate them. Not knowing you and what you are coming to Bali for, what you hope to experience here, I can't recommend one over the other. Put it this way, even if I was prepared to spend the money they are charging, I would not stay in any of them, to me they just don't represent Bali.

I agree with you Sybille! I will never consider any of those hotels because of the budget and I want most of the money spent well on exploring things...I don't know how much time we spend in the hotel room...hardly just for shower and sleep :).. I'm also thinking of setting a limit not more than $40-50/night in Bali...It's again based on the high season value!
