What advantages to stay in a villa
We have looked at some of the villas available for rental. The pictures were very beautiful. But it would seem so isolated. What do you think are the advantages of staying in a villa. Would there be problems obtaining food? Thank you in advance.

I always prefer to stay in a villa, farm or cottage and be self catering. But there is no shortage of restaurants in Bali and plnet of shops and markets should you wish to cater for yourselves and eat "at home ".
If you decide to do that choose a villa close to an area where there are shops and restauranrs - the dexcription should tell you - otherwise ask the owner or renter. Have a good time!

Hi edy8 we travel to bali every year and still love the place, we did stay in the villas in seminyak once i wanted to treat my hubby and myself ofcourse,they were beautiful everything you need, isolated yes but really nice unfortunately we especially my hubby loves the night life so after the 3 days there we styaed in our normal hotel in legion, food isnt a problem there are resteraunts everywhere and i mean EVERYWHERE if you like it quiet then go for it but if you like a bit of action still with peace then id miss the villas and go for a resort, hope this helps

A lot of villas - well most - have staff and that usually includes a cook/chef. You can tell them what you want to eat and will do the shopping. Though lovely and have stayed in a villa a couple of times over the years I still prefer my favourite hotels. I feel they are great with a group of friends or family.

Ya, we managed to book a villa of Ginger bali and we are looking forward to having a quiet time. Actually we chose a villa because we thought it will be Chinese New Year season, it will be the beginning of the CNY during our stay, and outside food will be scarce. Well,we'll never know until we are there. We welcome more tips on Bali, eg, night life, places to go etc. Thanks.

We visited Bali from 5 to 8 Feb 2011. We stayed in two villas, one in Canggu, one in Seminyak. I am inclined to like Hotels rather than villas as the ones we stayed are isolated near rice fields.
