When in KUPANG, West Timor,...

When in KUPANG, West Timor, head for Hotel Kristal, by far the best place to stay. It's a bit out of the center but the view rewards you and is worth the extra $ it costs.
Do NOT eat there! try the small indonesian restaurants nearby...
In BALI, I usually stay at Jimbaran, just south of the airport, at Hotel PURI BAMBU (discount for internet reservations), a quiet area with excellent service and close to the beach. Discounts if you book by internet: www.puribambu.com
The sunset from there is superb.
