hi, i'm palnning on spending 2 nights in bedugul, bali, in mid august and need some advice on accommodation, where to eat/drink etc. im looking to spend up to au$50 per night on accommodation (hopefully less). any general opinions on bedugul would also be great. thanks

Bedugul is a very small village..except the floating temple, the botanic garden & also the souvenir market, I don't think anything interesting there...U might want to consider staying at Ubud or Kuta?

i'm staying in kuta for the first 3 and the last 2 nights of my trip, and i've been to ubud before, so was looking for somewhere different that may be similar to ubud.any recommendations on locations that aren't too touristy but could still be fun? i want to visit rice paddies and rainforest rather than beach, as most of my stay will be based around the beach anyway. thanks

Bedugul is ok, there is a lot more to it than the other poster said. There are a few restaurants but not of high international standards or cuisine, not so many places to have a drink, a couple on the main street.

Accommodation can be found in the Botanical gardens, but for your budget it is a bit basic, but clean and functional. There are also others around in the area that are ok too. And it is generally quiet in that area, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding the accommodation.

The area around Bedugul is interesting and good for walking around, forests, rice paddies etc, and it is easy to get to some other places of interest, by car (assuming you will have a car)
