Any hotel recommendations in Kuta
Any hotel recommendations
Hi all, I'm going to Bali for the 1st time in February for 7 days . I 'd like to stay in Kuta preferably within walking distance of restaurants and nightlife, My budget would be around $ 120 to $150,
All recommendations gratefully received

There are very many accommodation types around Kuta- mostly are of the cheaper variety, but there are hotels too. I suggest that you read the BALI travel guide (click on TRAVEL GUIDES which is in the blue strip atop of page)
Kuta is very hectic. It gets loud and noisy, especially at night. Lots of partying anf drinking.
Personally Kuta would not be my choice, Ubud is the best area to stay in Bali.

Accomodation in Kuta is everywhere. You can find accomodation from budget to luxury one.
Nightlife, restaurant, cafe are easy to find.
For hotel you can check on www.agoda.com. Many hotel available there. Choose country (Indonesia) and then Bali. From there you can select area (Kuta). You will see many hotels there. Another option area are : Tuban (near from Kuta), Legian (near from Kuta) or Seminyak (near from Legian).

For that budget, you maybe able to try Hard Rock Bali which is smack in Kuta.

Unless there is a specific reason to stay in Kuta I agree with Lyn, Ubud is wonderful and lot's of hotels within that price range. Sanur if you want the beach, again plenty of Hotels with that price range. Both Sanur and Ubud will have plenty of Restaurants, Shopping and some night life, just depends on what TYPE of night life you are requiring. If it is the type you sleep most of the day and go out most of the night then yes Kuta is the place for you. As for recommendations everyone is different and what I like you might not etc. Go to Tripadvisor and check Kuta Bali Accom, make your choice form reading the many reviews. I can help with Ubud, Sanur and other places but not Kuta.

Sorry with my last post did not mean to sound as though you only go to Kuta to sleep most of the day and party most of the night but you will not have any problem there finding that type of night life in Kuta.
