Ibis Trans Studio: newest hotel in town?
New Ibis chain hotel under Le Accor hotel groups in Bandung.
Attached next to the Trans Studio Mall which housed the in-door theme park.
Check-in is at 2pm and check out is at 12 noon.
we booked the room online thru the hotel web. Online rate was about USD50/nite with breakfast for two. This was a last minute trip but we found the rate still better than the rate offered by agoda.com.
breakfast is a combination of international & local fare.
free wifi at d lobby n in d room.
This hotel support sustainability development.
They use catchy phrases in the room like..."we are not afraid of the dark - so please switch off the light as u leave".
the bath room lighting will only turn bright when there's human being inside as part of energy saving effort.

Hyatt Regency bandung: ideal location central Bandung
The Bandung Hyatt Regency is right in the centre of Bandung.......and as the Hyatt adjoins the popular Indah Plaza Mall and is within walking distance to factory outlets, it is perhaps THE best place to chose if you want to do some serious shopping.
The rooms are spacious and there are executive floors.
The Bandung Hyatt Regency has a choice of places to eat......a coffee shop, Chinese Restaurant, Taruma Cafe (the main dining room), executive lounge eatery, and the Swarga Loka traditional dining area. You could easily stay here and not want to go anywhere else....there's a great swimming pool and beautifully kept grass lawns.
Staff are friendly, especially those in the main dining room....Our favourite staff member is Mr Ridwan who is always smiling and always courteous.
Ample parking underneath the Hyatt.......and the design of the Hotel is different to anything elses we've ever seen.
room rates are low...this is a 5 star hotel and yet the room rates are around the equivalent of 100usd per night....and lower in the off season.
Sundays there's a dim sum Chinese brunch at the Cha Yuen Chinese restaurant....costs around 6 dollar per person...."all you can eat": and free Jasmine Tea....

The Padma Hotel Bandung: Luxury Hotel..... tropical jungle setting
We stayed here a long time ago when we were looking around for a place to live in Bandung....it used to be the Malya, but after some "beautiful" additions the Malya be came the Padma Hotel.....you have to see this place to believe it.....it is unique and one of the most beautiful hotels anywhere....as we have lived in Bandung for 12 years we go to the Padma as Walk In Guests.......this week we joined in a sumptuous lunchtime buffet .......Food and Beverage manager at the Padma Ronny is internationally experienced.....Executive Chef Mahesa has cooked in Europe.....GM of the Padma Mr Nandang is the perfect host......all staff speak English and are warmly courteous.......there's a spacious lounge where you can order a refreshment...but oh the Dining area which is flanked by tropical jungle is fantastic in the daytimes and magnificent night-times....you will be serenaded by the sounds of nature!!!!
The view at the Padma are splendid...mostly the nearby jungle, but there's a vista of Bandung and the mountains..........sitting to ponder is a great pastime at the Padma!

Hotel Mawar: Bandung stay Hotel Mawar
The location is very nice, very close to the Masjid Agung Bandung and Museum of confrence Asia Africa, 10 mins walk to Jalan Braga. It is located in a small alley where local stays. It is clean, and facility is ok. The staff is nice but they don't speak much English thus they did not give much help. The hot water is not available in the afternoon. The first day I stayed there, there are some indonesian travellers. They use loud speaker to wake people up, thus creating a lot of noise in the early morning. Breakfast is lack of varieties, Sunday it was a buffet, but the rest of the weekdays we just had simple indonesian meals by plate. The price is relatively cheap, twin room cost me around 42 USD per night. I booked through www.booking.com
Overall, the hotel is worth its value.

Lots of fish tanks and ponds around which is very nice and also nice for the fish lovers to go check out the large variety of fish.

Swiss belhotel: One of Bandung best!
In my many trips to Bandung, I pass by this hotel several times. And I thought the hotel is looking brand new, and quite large, and deserve a try. So, when my sister n her 3 year old were planning to come along with me to Bandung, my thought went to the Swiss Belhotel. I called them up, and they got me a promo rate (about US 70) for a week end night stay. One of the reason I chose this hotel is cause my niece wanted a swim in the hotel, so yes this hotel has a swimming pool. On my way to the hotel, I got a bit confused on how to get there (I drove the car with a screaming 3 year old on the backseat with her mommy tring to calm her down). So I called the hotel and they guide me, literary, turn by turn, until I found the hotel entrance. So, very helpful staff. And when I checked in, they told me that they upgrade my room to a business room, because their deluxe room is overbooked. And, without additional charges. So we were quite a happy lot, my niece had a wonderful time. The room is spacious n has its own PC, refrigerator etc etc. We were happy to have come here, very satisfied with the staff. But the bfast a biy disappointing. Can use a little upgrade
Very friendly, very helpfull staff. Room is clean, spacious and ellegantly decorated ( the business room, that is) and quite .. We slept comfortably on our king size bed with four pillows on it

Da Vinci Day Spa at Braga: A 4 star Day Spa at low low prices
This isn't a Hotel but I wish it was. I spent 4 hours of a slice of heaven at this Spa. The therapist are superb and after having my muscles pummeled for 2 hours and my scalp massaged, I fell asleep!!! I was gently woken up before closing time. Total cost was USD 20. What a bargain

Swiss Bel-Hotel: Small Luxury hotel for an Affordable Price
I was a little worried that the wikimap located the Swiss Bel near the railway station in Bandung. I have also viewed such hotels with suspicion. What a pleasant surprise to find a lovely, comfortable, well run hotel.
The room was spacious and although this was a small hotel, it felt intimate rather than crammed.
The staff were amazing and I would recommend this hotel for both businessmen and travelers. It was an easy walk to the shopping and cabs are so cheap and plentiful in Bandung anyway.
We booked our room through a local website called www.itravelindonesia.com . We paid USD 58 for our room.

New Sanny Rosa Hotel: if you're looking for cheap and clean
First time I booked the hotel room, I'm a bit anxious on what kind of room do they have ( the room rate was under $40), but they prove me wrong! I was disappointed when I came and they couldn't find my name on the list. But, to my good surprise they've upgraded me to a higher room, with no extra cost. Breakfast is very standard but okay.
Good locations, very affordable and good breakfast.

Hotel Cihampelas: Hotel Cihampelas
Kind of old hotel. Situated in the very of Cihampelas area, this hotel only have small parking lot. The room are not so big, and was not standard decorated. We got the feeling that they did not change the blanket from the previous occupant of the hotel. The floor was also not well cleaned. The hot water only available on certain hours, and the ceiling was dirty as the hallway of the hotel. The reception was not so nice nor so organized. It is cheap but not recommended at all.

Hotel Yehezkiel: Hotel Yehezkiel
The hotel located quite hidden behind some other building along the Maribaya road, up in the hills of Bandung. Though it is air-conditioned, which not help much to the cold weather of Bandung, and decorated in standard hotel furniture ~~with sheet and blankets, hot and cold water, walking closet and cabel TV~~ we felt that this hotel started to rundowns.
They need more carefully maintain the cleanliness of the blankets and the curtains, as well as other aspects of the hotel.

Budget Hotel: Hotel Nirmala
A budget hotel with around 20 rooms. Some rooms are non-airconditioned only two or three has AC. AC is not a big deal in Bandung, since the weather are cool. Each room has one small living room ~~with sofa-set~~ one bedroom that contains two beds ~~one queen size and one single size bed~~ and a large shower bathroom with cold and hot water.
The breakfast provided are two slice of bread, a pot of hot water with instant coffee and tea.
Large bedroom, hot and cold water, cheap price.
