I'll be going to Puncak next week ith 5 other friends from Jakarta for 2 days/1 nite but have no idea :
1. where we should stay while in Puncak. Our budget would be about RP150.000 per person. Any recommendation?
2. Things to do there?
3. How can we travel from Jakarta to Puncak to Bandung?

Try Hotel Seruni, near Taman Safari (Zoo Park). The room rate is absolutely reasonable and it provides big & clean rooms. Go to Safari and buy some carrots so you may feed zebras there. I suggest you to stay more days in Bandung, not only because factory outlets but you can go to Tangkuban Perahu ( beautiful crater), Kawah Putih (sulfur crater with many georgous colors if it's not raining), Situ Patenggang (only 2km from Kawah Putih), a beaitful lake with a love story legend, Strawbery farms or Little Farmers where you just pay Rp 20K and you can pick any vegetables there. Bandung is also famous for its restaurants such as Kampung Daun, The Valley, The Peak. DOnt forget to stop by at Batagor Kingsley and Cisangkuy Yoghurt. hope it helps.have nice trips

Better you rent car to enjoy your trip
In Puncak you can visit Safari Zoo & Tea Plants
Nearby Puncak there is Bogor City
You can go to Bogor Palace or Bogor Park
If I am not wrong there is Safari Hotel nearby to Safari Zoo
Have a nice trip,

Weekend Getaway from Jakarta
by cokes
I was lucky to come to Puncak , leaving late from Jakarta on Saturday traffic was really horrific. Most people from Jakarta seemed to come here over the weekend to escape the city life and just come to the Puncak Mountains to relax and enjoy the scenary and the clean air and cool weather.
One thing that I also loved was that we were`nt planning on staying over but we did and so we had to get clothes for the next day and some toiletries. :o( Why did`nt I just make Jakarta my 1st stop and come with a empty bag as they have all these factory shops here with original designer clothes with prices so cheap you just want to shop till you drop.
I loved the tea plantations all over , its really beautiful and if you get a chance to visit here when in Jakarta be sure to take a horse ride through the tea plantations and offcoarse without a doubt you gotta have some tea from here...fresh from the plantation.
I would recommend you stop and Taman Safari as well especially if you have kids.
