A hidden gem
I found a real bargain on the net for this fabulous villa. Someone mentioned Imaj Villas on a forum so I investigated further.
Wow! Normally US$250 per night for the 2 bedroom villa but we only paid US$40 per night!!!!!!! And that included our own private pool!!
A couple of things let it down but not enough to complain about.
Imaj Villas are high on a hill before you reach Sengiggi on the way from the airport. The views are sensational.
Our villa looked over the sea towards Bali with Mt Agung the focal point. Most of the time it's covered in cloud but when it's not it's a great photo op.
Both bedrooms are huge, with a tv and sofa. Both bathrooms are huge as well.
The dining room also has a tv.
Sliding doors from the bedrooms and dining room lead out to the pool area.
The staff were so nice, nothing was too much trouble.
My only regret was that I didn't book for longer.

Sweet
A small complex of luxury villas perched on the hill between Mataram and Senggigi. Despite being recently developed by an Australian couple in July 2007 we (family of 5) stayed five nights in the 3br west facing timber homestead. Some maintenance issues were starting to appear.
Tranquil private pool, beautifulsunsets across the strait to Bali. On site gourmet chef and staff to tend to your every need. Depending on occupancy they may be prepared to negotiate on rate, try your luck. The premier two villas are the West facing ones IMO.
We would love to go back there in the future.
