un piccolo paradiso per sposi novelli

E' successo per caso, non era previsto, ma come tante le cose che accadono per caso si è rivelato un ripiego che superava di molto ogni nostre aspettative. Forse un pò lontano dall'aereoporto, ma vi assicuro che vale le quasi due ore di viaggio.
Una struttura composta di bungalows in stile Sasak (popolazione del sud dell'isola) davanti ad una baia "privata".
Ogni cosa è curatissima da un'attenta gestione francese. Il personale sempre attento ad ogni richiesta, cucina indonesiana eccellente con tocco francese, internet, servizio diving, spa, centro ricreativo. La pulizia è curatissima così come l'arredamento delle camere.
Davvvero da raccomandare.

Great hotel and great beach.

The french chain Novotel, has a great hotel located in the beautiful Kuta Beach in south Lombok. The views from the restaurant are amazing, also the food was very good. I only had lunch in the hotel, but i´m invited to return as a guest.

Total relaxation

This is an isolated place, faraway from the airport and any other kind of attraction different from those that the hotel offer and the normal tours to the island of course, but it’s completely beautiful.
There are superior and deluxe rooms in a building next to the reception and also bungalows around the resort very spacious, with a unique construction, very traditional and modern, the bathroom are really comfortable and have a big terrace with beautiful gardens.
The resort has the garden, kids, lower and upper pools, fitness center, bar, 2 restaurants, kids club, boutique, spa and infinity activities.
The beach is huge, very clean, clear water, is perfect!!!.

Really Lombok Lovely Hotel

In my opinion, I think Novotel Lombok is the best hotel in this island. It adopt local art architecture and traditional house compound lay out, and of course combine with modern facilities. It’s really unique, when you are in this hotel you will really feel that you are in Lombok

good but isolated

it has 3 restaurant. the "normal" is very good you can dinner with (18 euro for 2), the buffet is wonderful veeery big and good (30 euro for 2). watch out in lombok: it's ot so easy to move like in bali and people are not so friendly (they are not indu but muslim and much more retrograd about women: we had to say we were married to be more "free" to move). hotels take advantage and have MUCH higher prices. moreover novotel (very good) it's about 3-4 km from the center f the village: a sort of gold prison. organize yourself and search for external contacs. for example we took a trip to gili island with the hotel (44 $ each!). very good but expensive. we became friends with the local guide and organized a trip without asking the hotel: with 50 $ total he took us in a wonderful trip (most beautiful trip of the vacation) and transport to the airport for coming back to bali.
you can relax so much in the hotel. the beach is beautiful and the pool wonderful. you can have breakfast watching the see. there are a lot of activty like going on the hill and have breakfast near the see. the most beautiful and expensive restaurant of novotel sucks. it costs a lot and has nothing particular.

The Jewell on the Isle

The Novotel Lombok is truly the jewell on the Isle. The resort is designed so different from any other, that it has brought my wife and I back 5 times. We like the tranquil surrounds, so far from the hustle and bustle of my city Perth Australia you just can't imagine and the very friendly staff who are always good for a joke or two when we see them. I like it when they respond to us personally although it's pappa to me, but that's ok. There's something magical about this resort and the Island of Lombok, enough to bring us back again and again.

want to enjoy recycled food ?

Novotel lombok is laid out nicely and has a lot of charm. however it is not well maintained. the kids club advertised on the novotel site is not open any more since october 2007.

service is mediocre and be prepared to ask at least five times before you get what you want or what you booked - we were a party of nine and had booked transport. upon arrival at lombok airport only one hotel cab with room for 5 max was waiting for us and they wanted us to pay and arrange the second cab ourselves. we had also booked three rooms. at the reception it took us a certain time until we had three adjacent rooms. then the beds were made only for 6 persons.

Worst of all however is the handling of food. They have nice and good food but it is left hours on plates without covers. The next day they use the leftovers again. During our stay all of the guests we got to know were at least one day sick therefore. after this experience we had our dinner outside the hotel.

Unexpected Place

You will never know how beautiful this place, before u look by your self. Because photos can't picture it well. I have a greeaatt time in Novotel. And they have a lot activities everyday. Most it's free. Like visit the traditional Kuta Market & breakfast on the hill. The place far enough from the airport, about 1.5 hours. If you don't know Lombok very well, you better use pick-up service from the hotel or rent car with local driver. If you arrived by noon, you can ask the driver to take you lunch in "Ayam Taliwang Irama" (a great local food). Or dinner in "Seafood 99". Both place in Mataram.

Although the price is a bit expensive for the standard of Indonesia this is a nice resort to relax after a few days trekking of Rinjani.Tanjung Anh beach which is few kilometers away is a place should not be missed.The resort was full of French which is a bit ashamed for those who are French to get away from France.Upon arrival you are bound to come across the French and during your stay, anywhere yo go and what you do , you come accross the French.The accomodations at the resort various from rooms to villas.Beautiful villas ! We got ourself a beautiful villa with a small swimming pool just infront of your villa which is fenced around with a private entry. Villa 510 to be precised.We were 2 adults and 2 children and we paid a 170 US dollar for the villa with breakfast.This is the price that we' ve bargained upon arrival and I advise you to do that.Please!!!
For those who loves to venture more on foods , there are several good restaurants in Kuta town or village I would call !! It's only a 2 kilometer away from the resort and it's worth a to make a trip.Good foods with a reasonable price.
Anyway anyhow, we plan to go back there some day and venture more the islands around.

Very pleasant place to enjoy South Lombok

The place is perfect to relax and enjoy the white sand beach of the island as well as many other ones in the South of Lombok. The rooms are nice and clean in the Indonesian style and the staff very friendly. We have also enjoyed the happy hours at the bar facing the sea.
