Skip the towel! Buy a sarong!
And if you don’t want to deal with the towel,
then just get a sarong and use it as a towel.
It dries quickly,
you can use it as a bed sheet,
a clothing apparel,
or a mosquito swapper!
And it’s cheaper!

I have been thinking of going to the Manado area for diving and some simple beach quiet time. Recently a friend who has been travelling in Indo for several montsh recommended I should just go to Lombok, that Bunaken is not worth the travel hassle (from Bali).
I was really keen on Manado area as it seems less touristy, the diving is better, the beaches quieter, the prices more affordable.
Any opinions?
Thanks!
Hi..
Been to Manado and Lombok..both are worth to visit..
Manado with bunaken was a great place to dive...many spots there.. and if you have time try to dive in Bitung or bangka..few hours from manado city..or u just stay in Bunaken ..
Have a great dive!!!
Hi...
I've been in Lombok & went to gili island. It was great. You should try diving in gili meno, gili terawang or gili air. There is a little island that you should visit too "gili nanggu", maybe it's not very popular island in lombok, but the beach is very clear & you can see the coral/fish only by snorkling....
If you're in Bali, don't forget to try diving in menjangan island...the view is great also. It will take 4 hours ride from Denpasar.
hi
i am going back to manado this july, we loved it last time we were there, the diving was fantastic, bunaken was very laid back not touristy at all. Its not difficult to get to ...fly from bali and the resort you are staying with will pick you up from the airport. have also been to lombok and found it to be more tourists and hassle.
if you want peace and quiet chillin in a hammock with a beer after super diving Bunaken/ manado is the place.
have a great time

Monkey forest between Lombok airport and Bangsal
Technically speakin not Off the Beaten Path, because Monkey forest actually spreads onto the asphalt road. Monkeys block your way, and in most cases you will eventually get pretty good close-up photos or videop clips of monkeys. You might get some close-up picture of the jungle into your camera too, if you let a monkey to get your camera.
Monkeys are so accustomed to the tourists, that they might touch you and even steal something you're wearing on. Older male monkeys can even be irritated of your presence and start their fighting rituals. In that point you should immediately get back on your vehicle or start to orienting to get rabies from scratching or biting.
This is not a joke. Take care your valuables and avoid physical contact - monkeys are smarter than you in close encounter.
If you don’t care to deal with
hassle of getting transportation
from the airport to the post
and from the port to the island,
for a higher price you can use the
transportation services provided by
The Beach House.
All according to your time and needs!
Now that is service.
At the township of Cakranegara, adjoining the capital Mataram ,explore the remains of the Water Palace built in 1744 to serve the Balinese court.
The royal complex is set in parklands with an avenue of mangosteen trees leading to old Dutch cannons. These fascinating ruins include a floating meeting hall which served as a court of justice
For those who love the beauty of tropical forest, don't forget to visit Sindang Gila waterfall in Lombok. According to the local tale, most of people come to this waterfall for the mystic water. Woman who has no child and expect to get pregnant can try to drink this fresh mountain water. Most people said it was work. Interested to try it ladies?
