Traditional Javenese Architecture
The Hotel Istana Batik comes recommended by the Lonely PLanet travel guide. It is conviently located within a 5 minute walk frm both Jl. Maliboro and the train station. It is an upmarket hotel designed in the tradition Javanese style. The hotel has a restaurant and pool.
The rooms are simple. Basically beds and a TV which shows a few english speaking channels such as Animal PLanet, The Discovery Channel and E News. We arrived on the 2 am train from Bandung and they were nice enouh to give us our first night at 50% off. They were also very helpful in reccomending transport to Borobodur and Prambanan.
The room was about 365,000 IndRp a night.

any suggestion on good hotels in Jln. Malioboro? my budget is abt Rp. 350,000 / RM 100 / USD 25 per night (room for two, with possible extra bed option)

I should also add that the rooms include an ensuite bathroom, price includes breakfast and has a/c.
