Make sure you experience the Shinkansen (bullet train). It is fairly expensive but well worth it. There are over six of these high speed 'bullet trains' in service and they connect all the major cities in Japan. Nagoya to Tokyo takes a little under 2 hours. Now thats fast!

Last Travelled in May 2005 - for Aichi Expo
by vincentf
The main reason for coming to Nagoya in 2005 was Aichi Expo. I have never visited an Expo since Vancouver Expo in 1986. Since Japan is such a high-tech place, I grabbed the chance of visiting it. It didn't disappoint me, other than the long line ups!
Some Yemen food inside the Yemen pavilion!
Here's a shot of my home country, Canada pavilion.
The Mitsubishi pavilion was awe-inspiring. It encorporated an introduction by two robots named 'wakumaru'. Unfortunately, everything was in Japanese!
Afterwards, you'll be in a 3-D theatre that is out of this world.
Many Westerners entered this pavilion on the day I went: China pavilion.
Care to have a bite of some Sri Lankan food? It is quite expensive as this box of food costs over 800 yen.
Wonder Circus is a pavilion dedicated to the electricity company of Japan. Quite interesting with a trolly ride at the end of the attraction.
The evening ends with a night show at the Koi Pond. It is an amazing show of water and lights choreographed with music. It begins at around 8:00pm and lasts for 30 minutes.
