Neuschwanstein? Hardly. I stayed here with my wife for one night because all of the "normal" hotels in the city were booked out due to expo (July 2005).
At this hotel, you pay 7400 yen for a stay of 12 hours. Once you enter your room you can't leave until you actually check out and it's not possible to book longer than a night. It's probably handy if you're arriving late at night or just need somewhere to sleep.
This hotel is unique because of what they have in the rooms. There is a karaoke box, sony play station, video, DVD player, cable TV, full operating slot machine, enormous bath, microwave and mini-bar.
If you got an early flight from the new airport in nagoya (Centrair) . It can be wise to check in at this hotel.
10000 Yen/ night. Small room, japanese style. Box bathroom.
BUT, direct entrance to the airport.
Nothing can describe the opulence and luxury of the Nagoya Tokyu Hotel in Japan. Each of the 565 guest rooms are decorated with richness and elegance. You'll find restaurants that boast a wonderful selection of Japanese, Chinese, and French cuisine as well as American-style breakfasts. The Atrium Lounge is a stunning reminder of the beautiful architectutal details found throughout Japan. This luxury hotel also has a swimming pool, sauna, fitness room, banquet rooms, a boutique and a flower shop, plus all the amenities needed in each guest room!
It is a centrally located business hotel in Sakae District. 2 km from Nagoya JR Station and 5min from Sakae or Fushimi subway stations.

PETIT RYOKAN ICHIFUJI: An enthusiastic young couple runs this small inn, which is just a three minute walk from the Heian Dori subway station on the Meijyo line. Nine rooms are Japanese style; one is Western style. None have private baths, but the inn has nice touches like a cypress wood bath tub. They serve extremely reasonably priced breakfasts (JPY300-500) and dinners (JPY1000-1500).

Another reasonably priced Ryokan I have stayed in. For a Japanese Style room prices start at 4800 Yen. But it is cheaper if you share a room.
Known for it's beautiful shared bathroom in the traditional Japanese style.
For foreigners the price is 4200 Yen per night for a Japanese style room (futon). The bath is shared and separate from the room.
No curfew, great location in central Nagoya very close to the Sakae district. A taxi back to the Ryokan from Sakae cost only 600 Yen!
