If you got an early flight from the new airport in nagoya (Centrair) . It can be wise to check in at this hotel.
10000 Yen/ night. Small room, japanese style. Box bathroom.

Unique Quality: BUT, direct entrance to the airport.

Nagoya Tokyu Hotel: European Elegance in Japan

PETIT RYOKAN ICHIFUJI: An...

PETIT RYOKAN ICHIFUJI: An enthusiastic young couple runs this small inn, which is just a three minute walk from the Heian Dori subway station on the Meijyo line. Nine rooms are Japanese style; one is Western style. None have private baths, but the inn has nice touches like a cypress wood bath tub. They serve extremely reasonably priced breakfasts (JPY300-500) and dinners (JPY1000-1500).

Ichifuji Ryokan

Another reasonably priced Ryokan I have stayed in. For a Japanese Style room prices start at 4800 Yen. But it is cheaper if you share a room.

Unique Quality: Known for it's beautiful shared bathroom in the traditional Japanese style.

Meiryu Ryokan

For foreigners the price is 4200 Yen per night for a Japanese style room (futon). The bath is shared and separate from the room.

Unique Quality: No curfew, great location in central Nagoya very close to the Sakae district. A taxi back to the Ryokan from Sakae cost only 600 Yen!
