by kitnapper
Hello.. i'm living Bangkok and i'm going to Nagoya for summer training program arranged by my university. As of now, I really don't know much about Nagoya and its tourist attractions. I'm leaving Bangkok on Sunday 11 May and so if anyone could provide some info, please do so ASAP! Thank you very very much!!

Travel Tips for Nagoya
Nagoya's Tallest
by PartyRambo
The JR Central Towers (JR = Japan Rail) in downtown Nagoya are quite impressive from the outside, but I had to find a website to give me details on the inside. http://www.towers.co.jp/e/ is the best website I could find describing the attractions of these buildings.
Corporate Pavilion Zone A
by ClareyD
The second corporate pavilion area does not have quite the same huge attractions as Zone B, but still there is plenty to see here.
JR Pavilion
The new Shinkansen outside. Not only can you wander up and have a good look at it, but you can join a short queue to have a look inside. To be honest it looks fantastic from the outside and the inside, well it looks like pretty much all the other Shinkansen do (sorry). Apparantly this one will travel at speeds of up to 360km/h and you probably still wont notice it is going that fast! The new trains are due to go into service in 2007. They do look pretty sleak.
Wonder Circus-Electric Power Pavilion
Ride on an electric car through this pavilion and see pictures drawn by children
JAMA Wonder Wheel Pavilion
No city in Japan is complete without a Ferris Wheel, and World Expo is no exception! Inside there is the story of "People, Vehicles and the Earth, but the main attraction here is a 50m Ferris Wheel for a view of the Expo area.
Mitsubishi Pavilion
An IFX theatre provides a vision of the Earth without the moon. Strong winds and 8 hour days!

"Nagoya's Centrair Airport"
This was just a quick layover from Detroit to Manila. This airport was so clean, had very courteous airport folks, and of course, so high-tech. I will have to come back to Japan one day soon esp.Tokyo...
